Default Scratch build truck ideas?

Since the SMT10 is out for now the only contenders in the 1/10 2S category are the new CEN that isn't out and the MST MTX-1 and both of which use narrow axles and seem to be more 1/12 like than 1/10. I want about a 13" WB and brushless. Can I use one of my scale trucks and just put 1" hex wideners on each side? I do like the ladder chassis look better for an MT.

It works pretty well with the TRX-4.

You think the stock axles would be ok with 1" extenders on each side?

I think with heavy tires and brushless it would be pretty easy to break things with 1" on each side. IMO it would probably look kinda funny too.

Ya, I figured that too. Too bad there arent any decent 12mm hex axles that are kind of wide.

There are. Ive got 2 sets of 12mmx28mm hexes. They make my m/t wide enuf to not rub, but my wheel are so thick they stripped one out. Got a different style n the nut piece wasnt long enuf. So im runnin 12mmx14mm extensions n the only rubbin i have is on the lower links at full throw

I mean entire axles. Kind of like the AR60s but from someone else since those werent that great and are pulling high money because there is no other wide ones.

Maybe? Axles

oops, I meant to link this page, specifically to show their axle tube spacer setup: http://www.freestyle-rc.com/axles.html

I'm not having luck finding their hex-to-hex width though, maybe someone else can chime in.

Well, I am still wanting to build a truck and all the AR60s for sale are locked diffs. This has been quite a challenge. I wish Axial would just release a new variant of the damn thing.

You can get the locked Ar60's take out the locker and just drop diffs gears in. But you definitely need beef tubes or equivalent though.
