LimpshoT resurrection build

Been put of the rc hobby for 30 years, got back recently with a redcat rtr gen 8 and decided to get a mud monster build going. Going with axial scx10 2 builders kit. This is inspired by Harley designs monster truck build he did a few years ago.

I'm still working on sway bars although with the shocks set up like I have theirs not much torque twist. My suspension is pretty stiff and works great for the weight of the rig.

Did you put yours on the scales? Interested to see how it weighs compare to mine when I get it together, but I have a long way to completion.

Got a few more parts for the build last couple of days. Reef triple 5, and Holmes puller pro crawler 3500kv. Lift kit install took me a bit there was one hole on each side that needed to be drilled. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...541af22628.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2d2eca629f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e953efc9cc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...02d7503d0b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a8948570c9.jpg

Got it up and running! Went with mamba x esc and spectrum DX5 rugged transmitter. Just tweaking the esc to get it just right. This thing hauls ass on 3s!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2de4863c91.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d82f3d4c31.jpg

Body is painted, 4 cans of corsa Grey, 2 cans of black, 1 bright silver and 1 flat clear. Truck is solid, hit a few small jumps. On 3s it is plenty fast. Got a few details here and there I will add soon. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bdc99a630a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2dec8a78eb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e2775d2e7d.jpg

You went through some paint but that grey is sharp!

I just got back into RC after about 20 years and am really enjoying it but wish I could have built out TRX-4s but did like being able to drive out of the box. Currently on searching for next vehicle and on fence between a monster/mud truck or something faster like a stadium truck.

yeah the corsa grey is so light took a few to get good coverage. Yeah so many options now a days with monster/mud trucks to crawlers to scale trail/crawlers etc.

Re: LimpshoT resurrection build

A few updates. Got rid of dual shocks with the mounts I made was way too bouncy and center of gravity was too high. Went with some wider wheels/tires combo to prevent it from tipping over so easily. Need to let the paint cure on new body to get some runs in, power wagon body has a few splits @ the fenders I need to fix. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4e71ed1517.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ce536abfab.jpg
