1/4 scale monster truck.

I ordered up some massive servos and body. Going to make this RC. Should be a fun project.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5869a0972c.jpg

That is way cool!! Looks like it needs a bit of weight out back.

The main problem is the tires are nylon. Hard as a rock with no air in the frigid Wisconsin temps. Plus the suspension is too stiff so there is no weight transfer. I ordered an air shock for the rear so I can adjust the preload low enough. Found a set of tractor tires that will fit. They're bias ply but it should be better than the nylon tires.

That thing is wild. Ilike it! What brand & OZ steering servo are you using?

I have a 50cc 4 wheeler sitting outside. Interested in building one?

I used 2 60kg servos for the steering and a 60kg for the break and throttle. They are the same ones that are on the Raminator. Plenty of power.

Wicked...

Commented on your video!

Great engine sound, especially compared to the scale crawler motor mentioned in this thread:

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/gener...er-engine.html

I could listen to yours all day!

Maybe go-cart wheels and tires would be cool, give it a wider stance, let you flat-track drift it through corners. I'm sure you could find some used ones since they'd last a while longer without the weight of a person.

Very cool! Nice work.

I want to see it jump.

As soon as I can get the handling dialed in there will be jumps. Big jumps!

Thanks I appreciate it.

Lots to do yet. I found a set of radial tractor tires for reasonable. Going to check them out. I may throw a set of wheel spacers yet to make it really stable.

Took her out for a bash this afternoon. Kids and I had a blast. Skate ramps were fun!

Mater power wheels will be here tomorrow and I can start fitting the body.

Oh, man - a 'Mater body will perfectly suit the exhaust note...

This will most definitely be cool!

Thanks. It sure is fun to drive.

Mater has stack so I may reroute the exhaust for the stack. Hopefully I don't ruine the sound. So much cooler than a 2 stroke.

It has 5(!!!) winches, 1 up front, 1 on each side, and 2 in the back. Crazy...

Can't wait to see how your rig turns out - the sound really suits the Mater body idea!
