Capra axles on a monster truck?
 

I’m starting to come up with a baseline for what I want to do for an axial based monster truck build but I’m kinda leaning towards xr width, and the Capra axles are looking very tempting to use.

As I do not have a Capra, does anyone know if jconcepts or proline monster truck wheels will clear? Or if I will need closer to wheely king size?

I'm not sure portals would be the best option for a Monster truck. Those are usually top heavy to begin with, and with those massive tires, axle clearance isn't really a concern. I'm also not sure how well those portals would hold up to the abuse that those massive monster truck tires would put them through. That's a lot to ask out of that upper portal gear.

Yea I understand that portals aren’t the best option. I’m hoping someone comes out with a kit to not run them soon

People are snapping Capra axle housings. They aren't going to hold up in a monster truck.

Damn do you guys know of any other way to get xr width axles? I haven’t seen any scx10ii xr mod axles for a wile

Beef tubes has XR width AR44 housings.

I though Boom Racing made a set of XR width AR44 housings too but I guess they only make the XR width axles for AX10 gears.

Thanks! I thought I checked Rpp but I guess I didn’t look good enough. I have a set coming for both axles!

Once my ifs wraith 2.0 is done, the monster truck is next!
