Default comp at db's vote

ok so several of us have kicked this idea around

if you want to comp at dirt burners post in this thread with a yes

if you dont want to comp at dbs then do not post here

ill get it started with a

yes

the second half of the wall has much larger rocks and is very dificult for the 2.2s so a course could be set up for the supers im sure
and i think we can move a few rocks to make it a bit more challenging

I second the motion.

But I do have a question, will it be challenging enough for supers?

I'm fine with it...

Man I wish there was more close to me. Not sure how many of these far west side comps I'll be making with gas prices up. Plus many dates are bad for me...we'll see what I can make.

From the Video it looks pretty easy...

Yes, I'm in. And i'm sure we can set a challenging course up for the supers. Jake if you know of any place that we can hold a comp, let us know, I don't have a problem going to where your at.

I say sure why not! We can always stack a couple of rocks if it don't piss anybody off! As far as an eastside comp, I'm going to look, look, and look some more for a spot not behind a fence or someones landscapeing. I'll also see what I can come up with if I were to talk to somebody at a lanscapeing supply or stone depot or something like that. I can agree with Jake on the matter of gas cost. I've been out to DB's twice last week and out to saul's place twice in the last month or so and I'm just about out of run around cash. I'm going to post up a new thread on the matter. There we can post up how far someone is willing to travel and maybe I can do some creative map questing and find us a central location to meet.

Darren, I'm not saying anything bad about the places we have or you guys over on that side.

Unfortunately I can't find much that is comp worthy over here (short of Auburn Hills PD). Now that my motorcycle is out again, I'll do some cruising and bring the camera. I know of one by my parents that looks very similar to Jesse's find "The Ravine".

Maybe I can pack my PorkChopper in a backpack with radio and a few tools/spares in a backpack and ride the bike over to some comps

I mentioned to Tim the other day that I beleive that Bloomer park might be worthy. I have not been there in a few years but I think there was some nice landscapeing that might work. If you don't know where that is it's at the end of John R past Avon Rd in Rochester, about 5 mins from his house and 10 mins from Larry's.

How do you guys break these things? What's the common breakage at Meijers? It looked great though.

I think that Meijers is a great place to crawl. Jake there are alot of little hiden holes, sharp edge rocks, wicked off camber lines and alot of pinch points thrown in the mix for good measure.

I think that Al, sumed it up

I got to crawl there last night...wow thats a blast!

I think this should replace a location or be added to the series.

Well, we are currently scheduled to recycle the only three spots we have now to make all the comps and I don't see a problem with adding DB's in that rotation. Make it our last of 4 comp sites! I beleive the rotation now is Mejers, Davisburg then Auburn Hills so just doing DB's at the end of rotation would make the most sense. I have been there and like the appeal of being eye level with the truck, it's a cool perspective.

Darrin and Al, the next time your there can you take a left leaving the store to go out the back way onto Old Farm rd and check out that open wooded area. Its at the end of the complex and I saw some guys walking some dogs out there but needed to get home. It might either have the potential for a second course or at the very least somplace for the scalers that's more like a trail run.
