After building up the SCX10 for G6 events and the Yeti for U4 events, starting to wish I had a 2.2 comp rig to add to the mix. (My wallet is fine without having one though)

So what's the future for 2.2 comp? Ultra 4 going to take over?

Yep , too many people that said they were into it and really never showed up
I tried last year too make it work and gave ample notice and we were lucky to get 3 or 4 to show up. I still have my stuff and continue to build and run them with a few guys.

I really hope it makes a comeback, I had a lot of fun, met some great people and made a lot of new friends along the way. Maybe this summer there will be more interest.

I think things will start happening by spring. I guess we plan it as normal and go from there.

I agree, can't wait for the snow to go away so we can get some more trail time. I put together a set of berg axles and sold them a few months ago. I still have the comp truck with the Al Fighters, but to be honest have been finghting the urge to sell.
I have an idea to build a 10-wheel army truck, that uses Wraith axles and 2.2 wheels and tires. I have most of the details worked out, just need to get the time and money to start buying parts. Buying the parts for 5 axles and buying 12 aluminum wheels is pricy. I'm also waiting for the parts to arrive for the Baby Liam Jeep. The guy that was working on it had some family issues and is supposed to be sending me everything he has, so I can get the truck assembeled and to Greg.
I'm also racing carpet oval in Bay City, Grand Rapids, and Mt. Pleasant.
The bummer is, it looks like the track in Bay City might be closing, because the building we rent is up for sale. If it does sell, we are looking at renting a space in the local mall to start a new track. We'll be working on an off-road carpet track and oval to go with it. We've talked about trying to find a space large enough to put in a crawling course, something that would work well for scalers and comp trucks. That will be further down the road though..

No matter what we do, I just hope we all get to hang out, talk about crawlers, and enjoy eachothers company again. Even if it just to bash around in the snow.

Whoa Whoa Whoa.......some of us have snowmobiles to ride mister.

I have some sort of AR60ed U4-ish build going right now, i'm to the point of building a cage. I just need some time. Doing 1/1 builds all day leaves little ambition for 1/10 builds but im getting there....been collecting parts for a month or so.

Where is Jake?

I agree, the snow needs to go away!

I have been working on the G6 rig a bit. Looking forward to competing with that again. The season came to an end way too quick. It's a blast running with the guys in Rose City.

Tried the rock racing thing, not for me. Hated the Yeti as well so that didn't help the cause, what a POS

Cannot wait till spring, also been assembling a couple scale rigs in anticipation of getting out and doing some crawlin! Had a great time at Honchoforever1's track last year. Looking forward to graduating from noob to noob 2.0!

Hey guys I have been looking for some people to crawl with. I go to school at oakland university and I heard that there is an awesome place across the street. I've got 2.2 scalers and a superclass rig just looking to get back out there!

Will there be any comp crawling with 2.2 comp rigs this spring/summer? I hope some of the guys that have posted in this section don't get this confused with "scale"runs.
