Default Metro detroit crawlers

I am trying to get a group together in the metro Detroit area. I created a facebook page 313crawlers. Look it up, I would like to get big trail meets together.

Have you checked here on RCC, most of the Bookface groups I have run with seem pretty small and to be just a few friends. Most of the SE Michigan guys post here about scale/trail runs and comp crawling.

check here...
Scale GTG/G6 at Davisburg. Saturday Aug 2

Here...

G6 style run July 12th

Or, here...

Honcho's House GTG/Chit Chat Thread

A few events going on.....More than welcome to come out and join us.

Well I joined the 313 on Facebook. Being from Monroe, just looking for people closer to where I live.

I don't have nor want a Facebook account. The best thing is to let me know here at rccrawler.com. Thanks

I am all for that. They do Trail rides in Rotory park. I went on one on Sunday. Nice walk in the woods and some good hill climbs. Need to check out a few local parks to find some rocks and scale trails to run.

I'm not sure if there are any crawlers out there still. I'm in the Metro Detroit area and me and a buddy have been into crawling for a while now and just now getting back into the hobby. Have a nice spot we are going to be working on for some crawling and will keep everyone posted in the forums with the progress. The area is going to be in Dearborn.

There's plenty of good spots out there you just have to be willing to drive/carpool a little.

There's a awesome spot in Farmington hills as well

Yes, right across the street. Farmington rd. just south of 696, west side. We'll meet at 1:00 and walk down to the creek. Great crawling.

MiRCa will be planning the 2016 season events shortly. We do 2.2 pro and Sporty (if enough show).

I'll see how soon we will have the schedule ready.

Not a traditional first post, but I just took a ride through Metro Beach (16 Mile/Metro Parkway) and found they have built an overflow parking lot for the Day Sail Launch. It's raised quite high (20') from the surrounding terrain and offers some nice steep gravel/mud along the edges.

I'll take some pics later.
