| gauging interest, scaler rock race rally event.
I would like to propose a newer style event. I would like to start a rally race style event with some rock racers. Set up a course, and run it like a scale comp, except it will be based mostly off of time to completion per stage. This would keep things moving quickly, so everyone could run. We would stick to the same rules of a scale comp, except add time as the main winning factor. (No hand of God, towstrap/winch necessary, must make gates-points if not, and scale points.) We could run 2.2 class-wraith-yeti 1.9 class-scx-twin hammers etc. Run day and night courses much like our awesome g6 events last year. Thoughts? |

I have very little interest. When I drive scale trucks I want to meet up with friends, cook out, drink a few beers, and hoot and holler till parts fly off my truck.....Then laugh my ass off.... |

Well blkxj thats exactly what were trying to do here, maybe you missed the point? And since there is nothing better going on around here maybe you have a better idea? You complain that theres nothing to do scaler wise then say you have little interest when someone brings something up..... I was hoping to do an event at one of the metro parks, where there is charcoal grills to use, and beer is able to be drank (most of us know thats an expectation of mine) Last edited by twilight; 06-24-2015 at 09:00 PM. |

Yeah JUST like last year, and the year before! Except make some sort of point out of it. Driving around with no goal gets old after awhile. Hence the race part of it. We sort of had a race to last year, but no one ever officialy won, which i believe is why it died off. Wheres the motivation to build a better rig if theres no competitive edge to it? Thats like the damn public school system giving everyone a trophy... this here is the damn united states of merica. Someone wins, someone loses and someone has to be the damn drunk guy trying to tell everyone else how to drive. |

I can't wait to see the out come of your yeti Brian. Rustneversleeps it was built by mcrawlinslow, I got my hands on it and it's got built vp wraith axles, ax2 trans & mmp with a tekin pro4 3500kv HD, proline scaler shocks, hitec 7954, it's about a 14 1/2 inch wheelbase.

Wow it looks like it was meant for it. Frigging rat rod with snow tires....should be a task to paint the motor though unless your painting the outside? Sorry for changing the subject on this thread...Continue. | |

I'd be interested in some scale get together's. I don't need to be scored for points or anything, I just wanna hang out and run my truck.
