| why so few aftermarket parts for micro scaler?
wondering.. we have losi micro crawler here for longer now. plus there is at least one similar crawler out there. and as i can see, scaler fans are left on their own. almost no one is doing interesting body, wheels, tires.. its supposed to use scale models bodies, but everything (or hardly something) ive seen to this day is out of scale and reasonable proportions. why is it problem? small market? big investment and low price / low revenue? is it really so big issue to produce lexan or styrene body of something traditional (or at least "similar" if licencing issues), beadlocks (of course not aluminium), tires everything in proper size? or at least to do proper size for bodies that are used now (1/24+1/20) and of course various part that could make it easier to turn it into scaler.. what do you think.. The business side of this hobby is about return on investment. How fast can I make back the money I have spent to develop, produce, package, and distribute a product. An item like a plastic roll cage ,for 1/10 scale, can cost upwards of a 100 grand between development, production, packaging and distribution. The more they make that item the more lower the cost will be. At a million units that item would cost 10 cents to make. If you were going to spend your money to make an item would you do it on an item that all users could purchase? Or on an item were 20% to 50% of the users would purchase. To make a profit, I would (just as these companies are doing) put my money in the item where I can reach the most consumers. I know it is harder to find the stuff that is scale, But The scale is 1/24. Grab a plastic model or two and start cutting, gluing, and painting. You can come up with some pretty sick stuff. |

TheToyz.com has several scale bodies for the Micro crawler from two different manufacturers, RC4WD makes two sets of scale tires and two sets of wheels, BWD also makes a great set of wheels, Integy makes wheels and shocks....maybe if you were more specific in what you are looking for

I don't see where Integy makes any parts for the micro rock crawler.
