| Leaf Springs, VS Shocks.
I am about to start a Build of a 1/24th scale micro w/ a model 1980 bronco and a losi micro. My current hold up is a debate between leafs and shocks. I have never built a leaf spring truck before. Kinda an embarrassing question, but.... If i go the leaf spring route, do i need any of the 4 link to make the suspension work? Or do i just not use the upper links? I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out if I need to keep the lower or upper links w/ leafs. thanks in advance |

thats not a question "leaf springs vs shocks." leafspings are a suspension setup. i think what you are talking about it the "four link" vs leaf spring suspension setups. although leaf springs absorb impact like shocks they also hold the axle in place under the vehicle..shock don't.the four links hold the axle under the vehicle. shocks only make the ride smoother and stabilize on leaf spring and on four link they do the same but in rc's they also limit the amount of articulation. btw i'm about to do a leafsprung toyota pickup good luck |

Leafs get a smaller amount of articulation than spring. If you do springs you MUST have a 4 link but if you have leafs you don't "need" any links however a 2 link is recommended for the crawlerx springs because the leafs will actually twist from torque
