Cool Losi Micro Dodge

This is ther first time I ever experimented with putting bodies on my Losi Micro Crawler, and it turned out ok. I extended the body post with straws for now. Any other ideas on what to use to extend the posts? So the body doesnt look so tight to the chassis. The bed was also trimmed to fit the shock tower and electronics. Fitted with a spare tire from a Losi micro sct in the back and a old lego chain. Im hoping one day to extend the chassis and put a larger body on it!

Should I do anything else to it?? I would really like to paint it but idk about that. I also have the battery mounted over the rear to charge it a little easier. The body came off a 1/24 New Bright. So I might peel off all the stickes cause it says New Bright all over it!

Yup, that would be deffinately be one. Also another would be to round out the wheel wells and then go with a droop system(take out the shocks and remove springs). Then it would sit low and have a great COG(center of gravity). Plus it would look mean!

But if you do droop, then you need to round out the wheel wells. The tires WILL rub if you dont.

What I did with mine, I just got some sand paper, does not matter too much on the roughness. It should be easy with your body.

But just use the sand paper and go in the motion of the picture. Just keep repeating it. And it should just eat away the plastic....but its important that you do this before painting.

Yes it does look better! The paint scheme is growing on me. This thing would look pretty awesome with the exhaust coming out of the bed. lol

This thing will probably need a servo soon considering every other day it looks like it's having a seizure haha

And i still need to get that crap left behind from the sticker off! I already tried soap and water but no luck :( I also looked at it more, if I got rid of the springs most likey the whole front bumper would need to be clipped off?

But my ultimate goal is either making a chassis for this Chevy Tahoe model or get a Losi Trail Trekker that the body would probably fit perfectly on!! maybe?

Well, you would not exactly have to get a whole new trekker. Just go and get your self the chassis. I belive that all you would need are the links from the trail trekker. Every thing else from your Micro crawler will go right on there.

Doing this will increase your wheelbase greatly. And you would more than likely be able to use that body.

What size is that body....1/20?

Maybe drive shafts too.

Could not find the links.

I believe the body is a 1/24, but not entirely sure because I bought years ago. Yeah I might just try the chassis parts a little later, the trail Trekker chassis would be way cheaper then buying a soldering gun, metal, and other things. Thanks alot! Oh yeah I found some old Lego stacks that are going to being sticking out of the back of the bed on the Dodge!!!

:update: Well I put the stacks on, and it looks pretty cool. All I need is a tool box. I'm not sure what to make the tool box out of though??

I cut the Lego stacks a little then hot glued them to the body. Should have some pics up of it crawling around!!

That looks alot better! Im not too sure on the body posts.

If you have ever heard of styrene then that would be PERFECT for making a tool box. You can make it how ever you want, and how long it you want.

Ever heard of it?

Where exactly do you purchase it?? like a Homedepot, hobby store, or online?? Yeah it does look a lot better lol, I need to scrape all the crap off from the stickers still
