| 1/12 Losi Micro Vinson 4x4 ATV
Hey guys.... I got bored and started tinkering. Let me know what you think! I started with a Losi MCRC with a BWD comp chassis and billet wheels. I added QLO tires and flipped/trimmed the BWD chassis and added a 1/12 Model of a Suzuki Vinson 500cc 4x4 Quad. I used the model swing arm and drilled the axle out of it to make room for the losi axle to pass through. There is suspension in the rear but no flex as it is a solid swing arm like a real quad. I couldnt keep the IFS in the front and make it 4x4 so I clipped the models die-cast frame's front end to make room for the front live axle and 4-link. Still working out kinks and need to add electronics and battery but its coming together and I wanted to share....... Stock width of 3.75 and a wheelbase of 4.75 inches Pics, now that its pretty much done... |

+2 rider I'm so glad I found this thread. I've been thinking about making a pair of these quads since I first started seeing the body donor's on the shelves of a couple local shops. Now that there are Suzuki Vinsons out here though, I'm going to HAVE to go ahead with the Bombardier quads. I'm in the middle of building a Polaris Side x Side...and the last thing I need is another project. Keep up the good work! Looks great. |

Thanks for the comment guys. Also I never thought I would build a quad (its not really my style) but after seeing how detailed this thing was I had to try a build. Im stopped till I can get some shocks (mine broke) and then, yes, I will add a rider..... updates asap

That is sweet! Now you just need a trailer for it to be towed behind a rig!

Well almost one piece...LOL. The USPS was rough on it and broke the left rear axle tube. No worries though its all fixed. Its currently apart awaiting a Red Vinson body and trying to rig up a steering post that turns the bars when the wheels turn. Also drilled some holes for headlights and taillights. Ill get a video as soon as its done. |

I think the ATV model was 15 or 20 bucks, then the cost of a stock losi mcrc, then the wedge chassis and bwd wheels and MiniQlo tires.... Im not sure what I had in it when I sold it because I picked alot of it up in trades..... |
