Default Micro Extended Cab Ford

I finally gave in for my first post. This used to be a Micro, but it seems a lot bigger than one now. One model kit, one Losi Micro Crawler, some brass/plastic and a whole bunch of weekends, and this is what I ended up with. Still need to paint the stacks and do a few touch ups. Sorry, no build pics, was way to focused on this one. What do you think??

Looks like some of the huge mud trucks we used to see around back in the early '90s. Wild build, there.

Got some close-ups & info on those custom wheels? Looks like the kit rim centers & Losi outers?

Thanks for the comments. I think it resembles a mudder as well. The wheels are quite custom although I used standard things from the kits to make them. I did the mod that someone else did where you cut the front off the losi wheeland then flip it. It makes the offsets wider. Then, on the inside, I cut a strip of .030" styrene and made a band between the inside of the Losi wheel and the outside of the ford wheel. Keep in mind, I had to bolt the wheel onto the truck first, slide in the band and the model wheel, then screw the beadlock ring on. I will get some photos if i take the wheels off sometime soon.

Look up mini qlo on ebay for the tires. Definately way better than stock.
Anyone have suggestions for some stiffer springs that are the same length as stock, this thing has some weight to it and needs a bit of stabilization...stockies are too soft.

Monster, Monster, Monster truck! Can you lower the body a bit? Either way looks great!

The only way I think at this point to lower it is to get some shorter springs. Wouldn't be a bad thing because the Losi springs are soft and it makes this thing wobble back and forth alot.

Looks like a big gay mud truck straight from pirate 4x4. And I kind of like it because of that.

Some progress on the brass frame while I wait for axles for my 2.2 project.... You can see the old plastic ladder frame chassis in the background.
