bit the bullet last night and decided to buy some 1.55 Mickey Thompson MTZ tires to reduce for the extra tire height. so threw the truck into the grinder and made some new wheel arches.

and tonight, ive been working on a new grille. its a bit rough, but was done with scissors as i dont happen to own an exacto or anything like that, and my stanley just wasnt doing what i needed it to do... its gonna get covered up in matte black anyway, so will look acceptable to me when covered up and behind bars.

so i got my tires today. im now completely uncertain as what to do next. as they are, theyre a little too tall i think.

i could make them work, but it would mean mega changes would be needed, if not a complete new chassis.

im having visions of an awesome crawler buggy/truggy with tall tires, low ride height, but to be happy with the width, the new rims (that still arent here yet) would need to be a lot wider than what i have, or it would be too narrow. i think ill wait till they get here before i make a decision.

but, let me know what yall think. on to pix.

1.55 cut n shut to 1.0

slipped over the top of the Miclaws.

and the kill shot.

here are some pics before the autopsy

shes since gone in for surgery to find she passed from an internal overheat causing severe burns upon the central processing unit and in the central power systems, of which swelled and failed, causing the fatality.

this is the ultimate killer.

That sucks bro! Even though the cut and shut mtz's aren't any bigger than the qlos, they look pretty good man!

yep they do look pretty nice hey! much more scale looking than the Miclaws.

im in two minds about what to do next.

this chassis and body shell are up for grabs if anyone wants to offer me something for it, wether that be cash or swaps. hit me up! ill be putting it in the selling section once ive taken a couple pics of it as is.

turns out the RX is fine. but the ESC popped forward power. it flashes like it wants to go forwards but theres just no output. seems over the past couple weeks the liquid rubber i had on it has come away from the chips, id say from the heat they put out. anyway, just glad that ive got a second spare one... or id be looking for a fresh esc.
