Re: Building a Trailer little more progress. figured out how im going to make the axles. first bored out the ends of some 3/32 alum tubing so that the losi servo screws could fit. http://i47.tinypic.com/r2vqkx.jpg then made a sleeve to space the wheel from the leaf spring. http://i48.tinypic.com/2ni2wpi.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/1j9qgj.jpg stock servo screw and a washer found in old tool box. http://i45.tinypic.com/xbmlx1.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/2chw2et.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/j0vg9y.jpg now need to find a way to mount it to the trailer, should be easy enough |
Re: Crawler Trailer Figuered out how to mount my axles. cut styrene strips to lift the trailer away from the springs so my tires wouldnt rub when my reg sat n it. http://i47.tinypic.com/mcf0xc.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/2lnb6fo.jpg Glued and Screwed. http://i46.tinypic.com/2vlo9dj.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/r03xc8.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/2e1cc47.jpg Now just some touch up and little details left to do. |

Re: Crawler Trailer Your trailer turned out real nice. What did you use for a hitch? |
Re: Crawler Trailer thanks. and i haven't quite figured that out yet, but im thinkin of using the mini t ball cup |
Re: Crawler Trailer What's your tow rig? |
Re: Crawler Trailer I love your trailer. I hope you don't mind seeing one in some of my pics in the future :D I want it to be a simple design, yet very functional, and you have created what I have envisioned. FWIW, I plan on using some type of ball and rod end for the hitch attachment. I'm going to try and find something that fits kind of lose, so I can pop it on and off by hand. I guess I'll be looking for a slightly smaller ball, or a slightly larger rod end :D |
Re: Crawler Trailer thanks hrddrvr, looking forward to seeing yours. and ive been working on a ranger, witch i plan on using as my tow rig. http://i49.tinypic.com/30uxxk7.jpg |
