|  tips on doving and bending?
can anyone help me out. i just tryed to dove a hilux and i melted the bastard. tips?

I haven't done it for doving yet but when bending the plastic in static models Ive just used a lighter about a half inch to inch away moving the lighter back and forth. Haven't burned or melted anything that wasn't supposed to be yet | |

Like spoo said, move the lighter back and forth over the entire area to be bent but less near the edges and thinner areas. Stop heating it as soon as it starts to bend. I have noticed that the plastic continues to get hotter a few seconds after the heat is removed. On small tubing I stop heating it just before it bends and wait a second and it bends good. The larger and or thicker the more this will happen. If you really want it to look good cut it and glue it but it won't be as strong.
