The Stroker kit is the way to go. And esc wise. Tekin has a b1r that would be a nice lipo and adjustable esc. But It's kinda $$. Losi has other micro esc avail.

Nice rig!

The stroker I'm running is 90t and runs absolutely cool after 30 minutes of axle breaking crawling. It is still running perfectly on the stock esc. I have one on a Mamba Micro esc and it is a bit nicer due to the tunability but with this much power there is little noticable difference. I just hate having to fit a speed control with a seperate receiver inside the micro's...it's just so tight.

Just an fyi...all big block and stroker kits are on hold due to the lack of 59t gears out on the market. As soon as they show back up they will be available.

On another note: if you have never tried a 90t losi rewound motor you might be suprised. They stay way cooler than the stock wind and give longer run times. Power is pleanty for most people and the fit is stock. (and they are WAY cheaper)

I think the stock ESC is fine with the stroker motor, it doesnt even get warm and plenty of run time on 350mah lipos

Throw another vote up for the stock ESC/RX combo. Running mine with a Danally Big Block (130 IIRC) and Hitec HS65MG servo on a GensAce 450m2s and get tons of power and 30+ minutes of good run time. No reason to change out the ESC if it ain't broke. Just decase it for some weight savings.....although not much.

Does that metal body weight down your shocks significantly?
Do you get a lot of body roll?

i have a new thread with a fresh rebuild of this......but i had changed to stiffer springs, so no body roll, but wasnt very agile in the rocks, hence the rebuild with model kit
