Default Raptor build

Just picked this up... Steel body with plastic details.. It's a 1/24 scale and I will be using the running gear from a losi micro. I plan to build an abs tonneau cover to conceal the battery and electronics in the bed. Also ordered a 1/24 trailer so I can use this to haul a micro sct.

Managed to recess the motor and trans up into the passenger compartment and only had to raise the back seat by 3/16 of an inch. Only the mounting bracket is glued, the trans still screws in place and can be easily removed with 3 screws.

I plan to swap out the wheels and tires for some a little smaller but here are some mockup shots with the stock losi ones...

The receiver/esc fits perfectly under the mock engine

That's sick! What are you thinking of getting for smaller tires/wheels?

I plan to build a combination trans skid plate / link mount and some trim panels to fill in the middle sections. Any one know if the rc4wd nano t-rex axles are ever going to be available?

I'm still looking for the right ones... I seem to remember seeing some micky Thompson baja tires that were pretty small but have to try and find them. But I would like something like that that would be scale accurate

wheels and tires from an xmod truck would get you close to a stock look, a little small for my liking, but it could work

I'm hoping that the micro rally tires on the micro crawler axle will be what I'm looking for.. But if not those will be the next ones I try. Finally got in some 1.8mm leds, but still waiting on the silicone wire and resistors, and still trying to decide between the 4 link setup or some leaf springs like the 1:1 in the rear.

You should go with leaf springs because of the weight of the die-cast and because you will be using it for towing. The stock wheels and tires look cool, anyway to make them work?

Sick build! What plans for a motor do yu have?

For tires look for some aoshima super swampers those would fit perfect! Inbetween xmod tires and losi tires.
