The trucks looking good! I like the rear leafs. I wish I had made my own on my last build. They look much cleaner.

I like the skid/mount you fabbed up for the transfer case. I might make up something like that for my jeep build

is that a 3 link front? I like the way you're using the frame from the kit. I thought about doing that, but then deceided to try my hand at making a custom one. I'm not liking the way my custom one turned out so I may go back to trying the frame from the kit.

I was able to get a lot done these last few days with mounting the steering servo and trans. They turned out ok but I need to figure out my steering linkage. All it needs is drive shafts and it should be moving. I will try and get pics posted up this weekend of it. | ||

Slambaam is right. It took me several months of watching eBay before I found one for under one hundred dollars! They are far more rare than the Hilux's. Don't worry though guys, as soon as I finish my S-10 Truggy, there will be another Nissan build on here!

Sorry to resurrect the dead here, loved this build. Is the dude that built it still actively posting? I'm bidding on a 1/20 D21 body right now for a micro build and bought a tyco bandit last night to see the dimensions of the body for maybe a 1.55" build? I'm not sure how big or small it is, difficult to tell. |

I haven't touched this rig in awhile. Not sure why but I dont have the drive to finish it. All that's left really is plastic work then build the model. I have a Bandit body also and they are pretty small. Not much bigger then this kit. If you search my threads I built a 1.9 lexan tamiya nissan king cab shell that turned out pretty nice on some mrc axles but the smallest 1.9s were still a little to big.

Man its been awhile. Last post was in 2014. Well I dug this thing out of hiding and was messing around with it trying so see what still needed to be done to finish it seeing how I forgot all about it. After making the trans and servo mounts the front section of the cab doesn't want to fit so I need to fix that first then move to the dash and fire wall installation. Then ill need to dig around and see what I have for electronics and try and figure out how to mount them. That's the plan at least, I'm hoping this will spark a flame and get me back into it so I can complete this little rig. Decided to swap the wheels out for some I had laying around and also added some wheel wideners. What do you guys think? |
