Default Nissan Hardbody

Was gonna wait till I got more parts in and more progress done but I figured I would go ahead and post some pics to help me stay motivated.

What I have so far

Still need to find a set of Hot Racing shocks and I wanna run a transfer case not sure how to go about that yet and im planning to make this little guy pretty damn heavy so I will need to figure out another motor setup later down the road.

Yeah I only know of one other hardbody build on here and one on scale4x4. I was planning too run the stock model chassie with leaf srings but after looking at the way I wanna run my leaf setup. The front tires will hit them when turning so I will link the front and leaf the rear like most SAS swapped Hardbodys. I wanna go as scale as I can on this build. And yeah I have been doing some research and came across Dannally and I think he is here in AZ too. Gonna hold off till I get it complete and the final weight figured out before I choose a motor. I do want a lot of wheel speed and was gonna buy a 8750 brushless setup but decided I should just hold off for now.

I've been running a 55t stroker in mine and even with the losing axles I get pretty good wheel speed and decent crawling capabilities. Idk how fast u want ur rig to be. I haven't heard good things about the losing brushless set up lots of cogging

Nice! I'm about to start a Nissan hardbody build myself! I just picked up the black non-dually version of this truck. Although I plan to go a little different route with mine. Great to see another Nissan!

Yeah I have three of those models un built in the box and two duallys and three pathfinder models and a few 720's. Im a big Nissan fan and I buy them when I come across them . Cant wait to see what you do with yours. I have another Hardbody build after this one that I cant wait to start but I wanna work out all the kinks on this build.

Lookin good! I like those wheels for a scaler. Is it a 1/20 scale ? Looks like its around 10 inches. So are you going with the dually or keeping it like the pictures ?

Thank you and I really like them too. Im glad its the 1/20 so they don't look to big under it. And no on the dually gonna keep it a standard extended cab.

Thanks Slambaam it was a fun build and was pretty difficult keeping it to look some what realistic and scale. Its a pretty small model and I need to update it now that my 1/1 has change quite a bit.

Would you part with the dually fenders? I just got a truck body that I've been thinking about making dually without switching beds. These might work, can you post some pics?

Looking forward to seeing your build. I love some Nissans and I drive my pathy daily and take it out wheeling when I can but I mainly just cruise it in the wash by my house. Nothing to extreme with my daughter on board but I have been out with some jeep guys a few times and it was great being able to keep up with them in my IFS Nissan. Couple times it got sketchy but the pathy crawled right up.

These are a few of my old trucks.

On another note does anyone know where I can buy a set of the Hot Racing micro shocks? They seem to be out of stock everywhere I have looked.

Went riding around to some local hobby shops looking for ideas on how and what I could make a transfer case out of. Didn't have any luck but I did manage to find some other items for the build.

Picked up a Brass sheet to make all my brackets out of.

Then this cool little guy
