After seeing R Billy Bob's beetle i decided i needed to make one my self! found the kit off ebay for 50$ shipped. A little more then he payed but i had to have it! the Detaill on the kit is pretty sweet im quite impressed. Plans for this little Bugger is as follows.... Delrin chassis i purchased off ebay which hasent made it yet.... 45 or 50T stroker from danally. SR3500 reciever. micro sidewinder esc. 4 link rear end. rally front end. Rc4wd micro trex rear axle when i can get ahold of one (any takers?!) till i find an axle itll be using rally rear. Losi Crawler transmission. micro rally wheels not sure on tires yet. gonna make some paddles eventually. savox or hi-tec servo. and hopefully if snaglefast can make that 2 speed transmission ill slap that in there if it works with the stroker . on to the mock up pics! Ride height where i want it to be at. good ground clearence. wheel base is to short. On stock rally chassis. New chassis is gonna get extended. this is where i want the wheel base to be at. maybe rear end a half inch out. looking for 4.75 inchs total. stay tuned. still waiting on parts. |

Awesome! I like where you are going with this one! I thought about using the sct/rally front diff too, but in the end decided to go 2wd. I remember that blue kit from the 'bay, glad you grabbed it up! Now we can really have a competition! It's like our own Little Bugger Build-Off! |

Yeah I'm pumped! I'm gonna be really depressed if I can't get ahold of that axle tho. It's gonna make this rig. I'm hoping snagle makes that transmission aswell I really wanna have some sort of crawlablity with this! If not it will make a very fun go fast rig. Can't wait to see what u come up with!

I was also planning on using a snaglefast transmission, if he ever starts selling them! I'll keep an eye out for one of those micro Trex axles for you! It would be a shame not to find one.

Kinda wish I didn't pay 50 for this haha. Body was covered in sum yellow glue. Parts were all messed up but 6 hours of sand paper and an adderal got me here. Think I did pretty well. Gonna widen the fenders now. Don't know if I should use that model filler or apoxy. Any input would be great. On with the pics. |

Looks good! good luck widening the fenders, I've never used any filler either, so let me know what you end up using.

Well good news. I'm getting an axle from mgcrawler! Thanks bud! And Im gonna go the apoxy route for the fenders. It will be a little more durable. I seen a guy on here that made fenders out of apoxy and it looked good.

Glad to see MGcrawler was able to help you out. Now it's on! I found a pic that reminds me of your fenders. Pretty sick rig too.

Looking good so far! I love that first face on shot, the suspension looks sick! You could always talk to Danally about some custom rims, although I'm not sure how you would do it on a lathe. Those rims use a D shaft if I remember correctly. Or you could use SCT rims. Dirtmoddeler offers beadlock options for them, which might give you more options.

No updates. Ive been working on my truggy atm. The vdub is on the back burner. I just recently purchased another vdub body because i destroyed the interior pan. Once my truggy is complete shell be my main project.
