Default Ty's Trail Trekker Commander

I snagged a NIB TT last week and I also found the elusive Commander body I've been searching for for a few months on theBay. The wheelbase of the TT is just a tick too long for the Commander, but I don't mind it too much. I cut the fenders and front bumper to gain the most clearance possible without totally compromising the "stock" look. Also came up with and awesome pin-less body mount system that is a nice fit and can be removed by pulling the body apart just a bit to release, pics of that later.

Will get some more pictures soon, need to get my radio from work to take it for a test drive.

Looks awesome
Every time I decide to sell my Trekker, I think back to the out of town trips that there was no room for a 1/10 scale rig.

They are great for that quick rc fix.

Here's how I mounted the body. The front body posts go through two holes I drilled in the stock mount setup and the rear snaps onto that post with the screw sticking out. It's a nice stretch fit and stays on really well, plus comes off in about 2 seconds and not tiny pins to lose. Stock body goes right on without modifying anything.

Some action pics from this weekend. Impressed with how capable these little rigs can be!

Thanks! I'm happy with how it performs as it is, my daughter loves driving it around too. Still looking for more things to do to it, just don't want to add a lot of weight to the body.

Great looking pair of Micro Jeep crawlers, nice job on body mounts too!

That's one reason I love micros and Minis!
