RC4WDs New Micro Crawler 1 Attachment(s) Some real nice features.... Yota II Axles, Steel Driveshafts, Steel Transmission Gears. |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler Any specs on the transmission, mainly the type and size of motors that will fit? As far as I know there is a shortage of decent mini/380 can motors on the market. |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler Weird the truck is 1/18 but the transand axles are 1/24. either way, I'm down for one. |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler I can't seem to find this on their site. Got a link? |

Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler 1.0 beadlocks should be the same size as the losi micro crawler wheels. Based on that this is a true(ish) 1/18 platform. Looks cool though, definitely watching. |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler This has definitely got me interested. Is there a price mentioned on the site? |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler It was previously listed and then pulled. It was $199 RTR Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler Same sized wheels, tires, and wheel hex as the losi micro crawler, Trail Trekker, Sumo Micro 1/24 Crawler, HBX,HSP,Reely. Motor looks like a 130 can (big block/xmod/mini z) but it's hard to tell from just the pictures. I think they list the axle as 1/24 to appeal to the existing micro crawler guys that use the 1/24 losi and Sumo. Truthfully the axle is a bit wider than the old RC4WD micro Trex axles, but looks like it has a smaller more scale pumpkin. Micro Trex specs Output Shaft Length: 0.15in / 4mm Output Shaft OD: 0.11in / 3mm Gear Ratio: 2.53 : 1 Total Width: 3.93in / 100mm Width: 3.22in / 82mm (Axle Housing) Pin to Pin Width: 3.32in / 84.5mm RC4WD Gelande 2 92mm hex to hex Sumo – 3.33″ (85mm) Trekker – 3.08″ (78mm) McRC – 2.83″ (72mm) Video https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...id=59251809602 And here are some pictures I've saved from various sources. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a1ccf564b4.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...07b799ae7c.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...21b4aaf30e.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...305c651cbd.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c1940a0a42.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a0281e2eb1.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...113c9484ef.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...096c25ca6e.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e331299988.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...6ae2ec5baa.jpg |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler This thing is awesome. Leave it to RC4WD to list the body as 1/18 and the drive train as 1/24th. LOL I hope this thing is durable and price right. |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler Its all metal. The axles, chassis, driveshafts, transmission case, gears. Price was listed as $199. Hopefully the price doesn't go up |

Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler And all this good information doesn't help me with saying no, lol. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler I definitely look forward to it. It could definitely help bring attention back to the micro scene which could bring more parts. The price seems fair for all that metal as well, hopefully they don't inflate the price of the spare axles too much. The part # lists both axles FS at a pair. If it's anything like the old 1/18 micro Trex they should be right at or around $100 for the pair. The wheels also look like the old micro stamped steel beadlocks which is cool because I was never able to score a set. IMO true 1/18 is the right scale for them to go for. They already had 1/18 wheels and axles in the past, they just so happen to work well for the guys that build parts using 1/24 Losi & Sumo and it works well with 1/20. The fact that they even list a 1/18 axle as 1/24 IMO shows they are paying some attention to what people are looking for. If these sell well it could potentially lead to another RC4WD body, or hopefully a less expensive rolling chassis/builders kit like they do with the 1:10/1:8 chassis. No electronics, no body. Just a rolling chasis ready for your favorite gear. |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler For metal axles, transmission, and driveshafts, I wouldn't hesitate at $199 for an rtr. The Losi is $149 for a plastic version. So what's another $50 for an all metal upgrade? "thumbsup" I'd be more than excited to see a kit version, as well as being able to buy parts separately. Especially if the axles can be converted for multi axle use. I have a 1/20 Peterbilt that needs wider axles than what's currently available. "thumbsup" I just wonder why it showed up, and is now no longer there? Why tease us like this? I might just die in anticipation! Don't they want to take all my money? :lmao: |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler Dannggggggg this is exactly the kind of rig Ive been wanting! |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler I have the same peterbilt. I've been holding onto it for years lol. The RC4WD axles are a little wider than the Sumos. Not much. I wouldn't hesitate for a RTR if that's all that's available, but if I don't want to build something box stock I'd much rather not have to pay extra for the radio and electronics when I already have about 15-20 micro sidewinders, XYS-20A,Losi ESC/RX combo and 4 Losi TXs. Yes you could always sell it, but I'd rather not have to at all. Either way I really can't wait! I have to finish up a 1:1 project, but I'm going to hold off on a bomber of the HPI venture just to get this micro |
Re: RC4WDs New Micro Crawler Page is now active on the RC4WD site! "thumbsup" RC4WD 1/18 Gelande II RTR with D90 Body Set PDF info: http://www.rc4wd.co.uk/fh/1_18%20Gel...90%20Truck.pdf Build manual: http://www.rc4wd.co.uk/MENG/Gelande%...l%20NEW-v5.pdf Looks like it's a BYO interior and most of the parts/hop-up links are active (but not in stock) - $32.99 for the 2-in-1 ESC/Rx/Tx combo so not likely to save much as a ARTR... |
