Loose sumo axles

Hey.I was wondering if anyone with sumo experience play in wheels action?Play in my case is around 40 degrees 1/4"inch turn.How to fix that ?Shim it?Any ideas?

Do you mean play in the drivetrain?

If so shimming the axle pinion might help a little bit, but it is the cumulative effect of play in the centre box, driveshaft UJs, pinion/crown mesh in the diff, stub-axle , dogbone/cup and wheel hex/pin - only a tiny bit in each necessary for free movement but it adds up.

Most crown/pinion trucks I've come across at whatever scale have up to a quarter-turn of slop at the wheels, you just have to drive round it. The losi trekker doesn't suffer as much because the worm gear in the diff stops it dead, so only a bit of play in the dogbone/cup and wheel hex to worry about - the downside is it looks less realistic stopping and starting, as there is no slack to be taken up by the motor.

Yes exactly what I was want to say Lol.Thanks for making my post understandable to everyone ��.Yes I took everything apart and every component have little play.I guess soon I will tackle that problem .

Honesty I don't want buy another rig.Getting my coins together for buying rc4wd micro axles.I understand it's will be long before they gonna be available for purchase but I don't have $ anyway lol.
