The ProLine guys were saying 30 minutes WOT and over an hour just crawling and messing around. 30 min charge time from lvc.

I think for the money, the gelande II is a better choice. Yes the motor sucks, but that's a cheap and easy fix and you get metal everything with a very nice detailed hardbody.

1/18th is right in between 1/10 and 1/24. I would consider the Gelande a "mini" and the Proline a "micro" scaler. | |

the RC4wd is also very to heavy and has a horrible steering radius.

I will likely have to add one to my fleet of micro leaf trucks. I'll hold off initially, as I probably have at least 2 complete trekkers worth of parts to still be built into other micros, but am keeping a good eye on this one.

My only question is this: In all of the video I have seen for these, it looks like they are very "jerky" when you start moving. The power delivery doesn't seem very smooth. Can you comment on this? |

I took the Ambush out for a test drive on "Happy Trails" (my backyard). Pretty rough terrain for the little guy, but it did pretty well. https://youtu.be/DXygwRH608s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

All that the 3 speed function does is limit the throttle. It isn't a real 3 speed. Low provides 50% of throttle, medium 75%, and high 100%. Where you see the difference is in the top speed of each setting. This truck is really quite small. Here's another photo to try to show the width. Start up and low end torque are surprisingly nice for such a small motor. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Last edited by Sammy J.; 08-30-2016 at 09:32 PM. |

It would be cool if they made a rolling chassis only for this model. I don't like combo ESC/RX units, and that shell is not doing it for me. Thanks for the pics and feedback, Sammy! |
