Sumo trans Hey I was wondering if anyone on here could help me out. I'm kinda new to the micro thing and was wondering what exactly I have to do to swap out a trekker trans for a sumo one? And I guess to see also if its even worth it? I've taken my donor sumo apart to try and figure it or by myself but I think I need a few guidelines haha. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Sumo trans User Fungi has a Shapeways store that may offer the type of skid you may need. But I can't remember it's name or link. #CamBrady2017 |
Re: Sumo trans Ya I've ordered one already. Just wanted to know the benefits and/or performance that it gives you. And also how to attach a losi motor instead of the sumo one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Sumo trans Sumo trans/motor in a trekker will be very very sloow. Dunno about fitting the sumo trans with a stock losi motor. You'll need a big pinion and it will have a lot less reduction than stock. As the trekker uses worm axles it doesn't like going fast, the plastic woms just melt. |
Re: Sumo trans Sounds like you might be referring to the Sumo axles themselves. |
Re: Sumo trans So what you're saying is I should plan on using sumo axles if I'm using the sumo trans? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Sumo trans I picked up a micro a while back. had a sumo trans with losi axles. Way too slow. Ended up swapping in a losi trans. |
