Default UNIBUSH by Imaguy

I'm creating a Unimog, mostly thanks to Revell for the donor static kit.

Much Mog for Mogging. Well not much. It's tiny.

I'm quite chuffed at this miniature Ambush. It does work quite well for a super-small leaf sprung chassis and surprised me to say the least.

With a little relocating of the battery box, and a minor cut (which will be covered up later) I can run the full interior with no obstructions.

Here's the cuts for the shock towers:

Pretty chuffed at how the cab looks on there with the fenders. Perfect placement. I'll be replacing the stock bumper with the one from the Mog kit, because Mog.

I'm undecided as to whether or not I'll use the bed that was included. Obviously, the wheelbase is a bit short, so it hangs over a fair bit. I'm going to noodle that one for a little while.

Initially, I thought I'd go with a Military paint job, but now I'm thinking Civilian Rich Overlanding Weirdo. So... Silver. ;)

Today was just about adding bits and pieces to make it look more and more like a Mog with a Camper on the back.

You can see I've started detailing the camper area. For the sake of making it not look terrible. Windows to come soon.

Looks great already, nice choice with the mog. I've hovered over that kit a few times but never took the plunge. It looks nicely detailed and just the right size. A camper back is a great idea to get around the wheelbase issue too. Can't wait to see more of this one

You could pretty easily shorten that stock back half by taking out an inch or more from the middle and gluing it back together. Just a thought. Looks amazing already though. Definitely interested to see the finished product.

Great build, love how the stock wheel/tire combo fits the Mog so well. Like this bed better as well!

Agreed, but box back looks nice too. Could build two or make interchangeable beds.

Thanks, yes, I've literally had this kit sitting here since my last foray into Micro builds, but never got around to using it. I actually tried to sell it four times! So lucky for me, it never sold.

If I wanted to go the stock route, sure I could have done that. And in fact, sectioned the bottom plate to serve as a base for the camper build. I always wanted to do a camper, and at this small scale, it's pretty fun. Thanks for the suggestion!

Cheers! Yeah, track width, wheel and tire size, it's all a super-huge bonus that it worked.

Meh, let's just go with camper. It's getting more and more camper-y every night.

Great build so far sir very clean, that kit fits way nicer than I thought it would. I really like the camper mod to be honest, can't wait for more progress on that.

Again, very nice job!

Thanks very much, I'm pretty happy with it too.

Made more progress, and getting to the point that I want to be done so I can prime and paint and play with this little guy.

Front bumper on, rolled awning, roof, all kinds of little bits and bobs.

Quite happy with the length and overhang.

Oodles of room for stuff back there. I'll make a magnetized door with a tab for the rear there for easy access to battery.

Hooray for tiny tiny trucks.

Amazing skills, you'd never know it was 1:25 scale. Love the styrene work!

Thanks guys!

I opted for RC4WD Bogger tires and finally finished the major body work. Finally ready to prime and detail.

Note that the back panel is held on with some tiny magnets and hides the battery compartment and electrics quite nicely.

Yes, my son is also named "Bort".

Thanks!

Small has it's challenges, that's for sure.

Painting this interior was very challenging, but the effort was worth it. Started the first coats on the exterior, hopefully another update coming today.

At first I thought, why didn't he simply extend the wheelbase using longer rear links? But as I scrolled down the camper grew on me. Real nice job.

Well, it's leaf based, not linked, so I'd have to lengthen the chassis, but that's not a big deal. However, I was aiming to make an Overland-style vehicle for one guy, and I think I nailed it.

Started laying down some paint on this little guy. Less is definitely more.

All finished!

I'll get some outdoor shots and video when I'm not sick. That's the worst part about working in a house with 17 other people. You always get what they've got. Anyway, on to the pics!

Yes, that's a Tiny Uncle Albert.

I was able to successfully hide all the electrics in the camper section, and run a full interior with only very minor trimming. I'm very happy with the result, and I can't wait to see everybody else's finished rigs. What fun, thanks for making a cool little truck, Pro-Line!
