Still waiting on my LEDs banggood!

But I did have a mess around with a few things,
My batteries turned up, ended up going with some 2s 400mah out of a quadcopter, they fit between the front guards nicely.

Had no idea if this would work but ive made probably the smallest RX light switch I've ever seen out of an old orlandoo servo with a dead motor, seeing it was a "low voltage servo" (2.8-4.2v) I put a resistor inline so the magic smoke didn't escape. Seems to work well enough and should be REALLY easy to hide!

Once I work out the resistors to replace the pot it'll be smaller then my pinky nail

3mm led is almost bigger then the switch will end up

Just a bit of an update, made some blanking plates for between the chassis and floorpan to hide the gap and wiring. They also help hold the floor to the chassis nice and solid. I also weighted the wheels and decided it was time to wire it all and make sure everything will fit and run. It does! Still no lights yet and obviously still no tub mounted but that's simple once its wired for light.

Here's a little video.

Decided to give up on the LEDs ever getting here after well over a month and it was time to finish it off.

I'm pretty happy with how it worked out. About the only thing I want to do to it is find some new tyres and a set of stamped wheels

Well, after waiting a few weeks for the rc4wd 1.0" stamped steel wheels to come back in stock I finally got an in stock email. 5 minutes later Id purchased a set along with a set of Mickey Thompson Baja claws.

Now to wait! I hate this part

Finally got the new wheels n tyres I've been waiting on, was an absolute pain in the ass to fit the tyres on the rims but totally worth it

The lux has been back in the workshop for a while

So far I've chopped 10mm out of the tub to line it up with the rear bumper a little better. I still need to come up with a set of bumper risers to bring both bumpers up slightly.

And seeing I was sick of having to take the body off to put in a battery I've cut out the hood and made a hinge, just need to glue in a bit of a lip for it to sit on then can finish fitting

Oh! And those LEDs from banggood, finally here after 4 months! So maybe I'll try and work out some lighting while I'm at it

Got the lux reassembled last night. I decided to flip the bumpers and raise up the sliders a little bit. Thinking maybe custom bars at some point. Got some lights installed too but no idea how good they are in the dark yet.

Battery bay, few gaps I might fill yet. Might put in a firewall.

The battery only just fits really

Closes and stays latched pretty well, using 3 2x1mm magnets.

And last one, lights seem like they should work pretty well.
