Default Orlandoo

Just a few shots of some new bits that arrived today, wheels, tyres and red shock inserts all from rc mart. So far just bits to make it look pretty and not the motor and rx that I'm waiting on to finish the build.
I've also sleeved the suspension links and fitted shackles to the front bumper, once I get the electrics here I'll finish it up and put more pics up.

Just waiting for the metal drive shafts for mine, was looking at the shock inserts but just couldn't justify it!

Let us know if they are worth it...

(nice shackles on the front too)

The shock inserts look good really good in the flesh, they change nothing other than the looks and were a bit of impulse buy, I'm happy enough with them, going to order myself some metal shafts in the next few weeks too, do you know which ones are the ones to order?
I forgot to mention I here the wheel weights in these wheels, they make the tyres hard but the benefit of the weight low down makes up for that....
oh yeah got a roof rack on order to, at £13 odd quid I'm not sure it's worth it but again a bit of an impulse buy

So the roof rack arrived today, here are a couple of shots of it just resting on the roof, hopefully get some paint on it this weekend!
The electrics arrived earlier in the week so they are all up and running so it's just the paint that's the next bit an a few other little bits.

Thanks. I Found them on eBay, they are for model boat building there are a few different sizes and types these were the smallest I could find, I believe the diameter of the pin is 1mm however they have now snapped the plastic so so just need to glue in a couple of bits of plastic back into the bumper to make it a little sturdier. Here's a link to the ones I got

Default Orlandoo

A few bits done today, just waiting on some jerry cans and tool boxes for the roof rack. Then finish up the weathering and wire the lights, locate electrics and fit metal drive shafts then it should be done..... I think.

I painted mine the opposite way you did lol. I painted it satin black first, then taped off the top and flares lol.

Yeah probably the easier way!! There was some fiddly masking to do, I wanted the green to stay nice and bright though so I did it this way.

They are Austar mini 1/28 wheels from Banggood with losi micro dt tyres glued on, you'll need two sets of wheels as the fronts are not as wide as the rears.

I bought some prewired SMD LEDs from eBay, no way my meat hooks can solder anything that small. I got red and orange 1206 SMDs, and the wires they come with are tiny, but they hold really really well, haven't broken one yet. A perfect snap in fit for the little housings.
