Thanks Adam, about time I do some 1/20 stuff. I got the upper link mounts done, next is the universal trans mount and lower link mounts. |

Got the trans and lower links mocked up. Need to add in the mounting holes for losi, sumo trans. Prolly need to make sure ambush trans will fit too. Thanks for watching! |

Ok Jim, I'm going to have to build a trailer now 'cause I want one of those to tow behind my toyota! Seriously though, I'm in love with that thing! Any plans to 1/20 scale your other chassis designs?

Hi Rob, I intend to do all of them and make more new ones. The printers are going to get better, and the prices are going to go down. I mostly want to make it to where you don't need anything from me to use the chassis. I'm eliminating the laser cut delrin sub chassis parts. All hardware comes from the donor vehicle. I do not know if I can find an inexpensive way to fabricate the pucks to make vacuum formed parts since I sold my 3d systems printer. Here's some more screen caps. |

I got the Losi and Sumo trans mounting holes done. They coexist pretty well. I don't have an ambush tranny to measure. By the way, the upper/lower links mounts, shock mounts, and drive shaft position are mirrored front to rear. |

I added some corner braces to the trans mount. I want to add in some more little details, but this is getting close. Going to send off for one soon. |

Amazing work! Do you test print these before sending them to Shapeways? If so, which printer do you use? Also, do you have any plans to make a Bomber-like frame to go with this Wraith-like frame? |

Hi Jato, I sold my projet 3500hd max, so now I just send the files to shapeways. I have some others in 1/24 that I will enlarge to 1/20, but then yeah, I plan to make new chassis kits. I will have to search cause I don't know what a bomber looks like. lol

Cool! Looking forward to more chassis. Here's my Bomber. They are also a tube chassis like the Wraith. | |

That looks like a project and a half. We will see. I added in the other braces on the cage. Not sure if I will add the ones right behind the front door opening... Hmmm... |

I don't know about the copyrights, but if you went a little bigger to 1/12, 1/14, or 1/18 and set it up for an scx drivetrain the printer may not keep up.

nobody cares about micros... don't know if 3d printed nylon is up to the task at that scale.

I'm pretty sure (just by looking at mine) that the ambush uses the same 3 hole bolt pattern that the losi trans uses but you would need a losi skid to mount the lower links however Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Here is a very rough mock up. The wheelbase is 6" and it's using Trekker gear. It will take some time to finish the solidworks assembly. Last edited by Fungi; 01-20-2017 at 04:36 PM. |

You have such detailed renderings! Amazing. Could you give me some rough measurements of the larger chassis? |
