It’s got me thinking now. I have an unbuilt Jeep version and now I need to dig it out to see if 1/24 axles will work. LOL.

cheers mate, im gonna try to stick with the stock axles but if they prove to be a problem there is a complete alloy housing set for the Ford axles that i could try, I reckon it will be ok, but its good to have a backup plan.

I checked a set of 1/24 axles against the body of my Jeep and it’s doable but would be wider than it is long. No good. But against the f150 it’s possible but a lot of fab work to make the floorpan fit decent and keep an interior. Not to mention a tranny.

yeah man, its doable, ive seen a few 1/24 Orlandoo builds even with the stock axles, on true scale rigs they look really good.

While waiting on the bits to finish off the links ive managed to get the rear end working.... The stock shocks are way too short but they will have to do until i can get a suitable replacement.

Yeah kind of..... I like the 200rpm motors, for me that are a good compromise between low end throttle control and wheel speed, but its far from perfect.
I loved the control and scale speeds the 150rpm could do but it was just to slow for messing around with the kids, say now, even the 200rpm is too slow but its an improvement. My advice to people is spend a extra $20 when getting the kit and order a few different RPM motors...

FYI, I no longer recommend the 90rpm... it has too much torque for smooth transitions from a standstill to moving and its painfully slow.

Its done, this is my attempt at making 5.5" floating hub look-a-likes

They are made from a m2x3mm standoff's that have been grinded back level with the axles and painted

Just went crazy and bought some 1.0" tires(wranglers and the new Patagonia), steel rims, and a blackJack and Black Rock Body. Oh, and two interiors for my Land rovers. I wanna do a half cab land rover/truck, with full interior and driver.
All RC4WD, 1/18. Soooooo, the point..

Your pics are awesome, next check or the following ill delve into ordering my Orlandoo stuff and multiple motor options, as suggested. Thanks dude, keep up the work at modding things!
Somewhat inspiring, being able to table top scale crawl!

Id recommend the USA version because it comes with the Chevy sticker for the tail gate where the crunch kit does not

hey bud... also if ya doing a 1/24 or 1/18 build it might be worth using a n30 geared motor on 3s rather than a n20 on 2s....
