I found that on eBay last September. A guy from Switzerland had 'em listed for the Orlandoos. I just checked and he doesn't show anything listed right now, and a "similar" search came up with nuthin. Since it was last summer it won't even show me the full description any more, but it's a pc board strip that he'd found with the right smd's and seems like he had milled them even smaller, to the size I got. He had even put leads on mine so I just had to build the casing.
He just had a few of them listed, I just got lucky.
If you're an ebayer, shoot me a pm and I'll give you his seller ID and you can try to contact him for more info, if he's still active, that is.
I can give you measurements for mine if that'll help any.

Well I ordered up THESE to test out. Can cut them in sections of 3LED's. By quick calculations I think the width I need will fit 6 led's wide and work. If they dont turn out maybe i'll contact the guy you got yours from.

Mine is 40mm x 3mm, the case is 43mm x 4mm, the lead end adds a couple mm. Mine has 19 smd's, I think they're 0402's, maybe 0603's.

Love your build!
Still stuck with mine on getting those small SMD LEDs to stay in their place...

Thank You
Yep, one of the toughest parts of the build, for my old eyes. That's one reason I body-mounted mine, so I can work on the chassis without dealing with the little bastards.
You'll get 'em. Then post up and show us your rig.

Do these kits come with the motor and esc? They look awesome!

Nope, you can find kits bundled with them, but you still choose what gear ratio you want, usually, and there are a few to choose from. The ESC for these run the steering servo and lights too. You'll need a 3-ch radio set for the lights, and receiver size is a bit tricky. I'm using a Traxxas rx, but I had to "compact" it as much as possible.
They're a challenge, but a really fun build, so I'd recommend 'em. Just be ready for SMALL parts and assemblies. You'll see it said in a few threads for these, magnifying glasses are a big plus. And I built most of mine over a silicone mat, it helps keep up with dropped screws.
Get one, and share the build with us, here.
And Thanks for lookin'.

Well, the weather is still too bad to try the new tires on the F-100, so I decided to start another little project for the Yeep. I got out the evergreen 2-mm I-beam and the pin-vise and did this ...

.... so that when I got the sheet styrene out and made the other parts, like these ...

... they will go together and look like this.

It's still a work in progress (I can only handle so much of the micro' stuff at once), and it's not perfect, but I'll post up some more pic's as I finish it.

There you go again, one step closer to the funny farm ;)

That looks pretty cool though. Now I want to see a scale driver and a camping trailer!

This is what I do while I'm there. Well, there's no room for a driver (other than Snoopy), but I have thought about a camper .... for my 1/10th scale rig. I don't know about one for the Yeep.

Anyway, here's the latest .... I got the handle parts made, drilled the base, cut some sewing pins for the pivots and a couple of N-gauge RR spikes for the ratchets.

Got it assembled too. I still need to make the cleat for the top, and paint it.

It's functional, except no automatic ratchet.

I used a craft needle for the handle. I didn't even attempt to make working ratchets ....

... but the pins in the "faux" ratchets slide in and out, so it is adjustable. It's just small styrene I-beam, so it doesn't like it, but it will hold up the Yeep ...

for a minute. Now I need to get it hung on her, somehow.

It'll be tricky to paint it without getting too much on it .... eeeasy with the air-brush.

I got the top cleat made today ...

... it's crazy how much time and effort goes into a piece that's only 4 x 2 x 1.5-mm. Now it's time to tear it back down and paint it.

I think I'll hang it on the side of the roof rack when it's done.

Now I have to decide what color I want to paint it.

You have two choices...red, or red.

Thank You, Sir It's raining again today, but I plan to start paintin' it this afternoon. I think I'll shoot it black or steel first, so if any red scratches off. Then I'll get a mount figured out.

Ok, I decided, all on my own, to paint it ....

... kinda red, well, dark red anyway. But even airbrushing thin coats, the paint still stuck the slides to the rail .... so it's no longer is functional. Not like it was gonna get used anyway.

It should make a decent add-on. Now I gotta make some hangers.

OK, I cut a couple of triangles from the .060 styrene and drilled them for sewing pins. Then I welded them (with 5-min epoxy ) to the rack ....

... and painted 'em flat black to match.

Then with a little black thread as rope, I tied the handle to the rail, and the rail to the rack.

It fits nicely, out of the way, but handy if you need it.

No interference with any doors, and doesn't take up any cargo space. Me like. Oh, and I scaled-down the spare tire spinner too, in case nobody noticed.

Thanks, I thought that was simpler than losing one of the cans and trying to hang it on the back. Just have to watch the roll-overs.

Very nice build. You have given me several ideas on how I can mod my orlandoos. But how did you make the shackles and the bits for the hi-lift jack? ...Like what materials and technique did you use?

Thanks I made the shackles from scrap pieces of aluminum. I used "jewelers" files (they're pretty small) and a small vise, to file them into shape. Then I cut sewing pins to hold them on. I think I have more pic's of the process, if you want to see more. The jack is made of styrene. I used different thicknesses for the different parts, and I drilled a piece of I-beam for the main shaft. I added metal pins and such too. Like the shackles, I think I have more pic's of the jack build. Nothing magic about it, if I can do it, anyone can. I don't have high-tech machinery, it just takes a little time.

Yeah, I would love to see some pics. This could give me new ways to custom build things. I haven't used either of those mediums/techniques before.
