Rocksta wheel weighting and soft shocks

I'm getting Scrambler tires/ RC4wd stamped steel rims. How much weight should I put in front/back and in what form: BB shot, wrap solder, etc.

I am also thinking about removing foam and putting an extension spring in full circumference, ends attached to each other, but right now it is left field idea:

Extension Spring 5198

I also experimented with putting following spring in my two front shocks, but they were too soft. But if I pull on the springs and make them about .375-.500 inch longer free length, they may preload better and have enough force. After the experiment, the stock springs replaced had the screw head of the shock catching on the countersink of top of shock, so I messed something up. I have new shocks on order, enough to play "spring" with and also keep some stock and untouched. Here is spring I used:

Compression Spring S-1088
