Re: WPL C14 It got a little tricky. On each side of the transfer case is an m3 bolt where I bolted the battery tray to the floor pan. I had to drill a hole to do this but there is a support/standoff on the other side it makes up in. This stiffened it up a lot. Once it all is squared away I think I’ll two part epoxy this individual pieces as a single unibody. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8b67bf7297.jpg I still need to thread and attach the upper links, fab a steering link, wire the motor and ESC, and then it’ll be ready. LOL. It’s so cute. If there was only a reasonably good source of axles for this scale. |
Re: WPL C14 I may have missed this, but are those 1.55" wheels you're running? |

Yes. And the tires from my Yeti Jr. |
Re: WPL C14 While waiting on my m2 and an m2.5 die as well as some 2.5mm stainless rod to arrive, I figured I’d go ahead and superglue the links. LOL. It worked well on my micro Fungi Goat. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...87f0b94980.jpg |
Re: WPL C14 I'm finding attaching the links difficult but mostly because I don't have the proper hardware. I'm using the slickrock as my donor car and a lot of it's hardware screwed into a plastic frame/chassis so I don't have the nuts to fit on the hardware I have. It also came with a wacky 3 link suspension setup made of molded plastic that's way too wide for the WPL frame. it's looking like I might have to mod more and think further outside of the box than I was planning to. that's kind of the fun part of all this though. I'm going with slickrock shocks too though so angles are going to be crazy. I think I'm going to have to fab up a plate like those ones they have for the scx-10s to become mud trucks/monster trucks. https://i.imgur.com/57RZ4UA.jpg?1 |
Re: WPL C14 3 Attachment(s) I bought some GPM shocks for the Mini-T. Springs are a bit stiff, but size seems to be ok: Attachment 369464 My kit came with an extra motor, which is a few millimetres longer than the mounted one: Attachment 369465 N20 motor with punisher shaft vs. stock drivetrain: Attachment 369466 |

Lean those shocks over to about a 45* angle and see how it sits. |
Re: WPL C14 Is that a1/10 transfer case? |
Re: WPL C14 Quote:
Mine is and has 5mm output shafts. |

Re: WPL C14 This makes me want to get to work on mine so bad but I have 3 broken ribs and it hurts me to sit at my work bench. Cool little rig |

Re: WPL C14 Im using RedCat Everest 16 axles. I found some pretty decent scale wheels and tires. Just too damn busy with other projects... https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...924/auThVI.jpg |
Re: WPL C14 The only thing that steered me away from the Redcat axles was they are all the same front/rear steer. If you would, count how many turns in to turns out those are? |

Re: WPL C14 The silver touch ups make a lot of difference. I may have to order a second one. |
