When I first bought my rgt rc4 also known as the ecx barrage (this was a couple months before the barrage showed on the forum) I had no clue about it be sides YouTube videos in other languages. My first build was to see what would bolt on from other rigs. Now a custom what I can do to it build is slow going. I could have bought a used rig and spent the same money rebuilding it. But wanted something to tinker with and build. I guess I'm saying is what is your intent with a rig like this?

It’s a $35 RC with a nice body. Buy a $35 RC at any big box store with a nice body and see how long it’s lasts. This is a toy grade RC that, at a glance, looks hobby grade. But it is not.

Just ordered one of these in yellow, had i have seen the red i'd have ordered that. i also did a HK order at the same time : small 2s lipo (cant remember what mah) 10a esc, 3ch rx/tx and a couple of servos. all up i'm in it for under $90 shipped to aus. i know its toy grade, and a lot of reviews claim it to be a complete bag of sh!t but it looked way too cool to pass up at the price. Just like my chopped and changed rs10 this little thing will get modded as i break stuff. I'll be on the hunt for a real drive line for it before too long because the axles/diffs like they will be one of the first things to let go. Depending on how well i can mod it i may still buy one in red because why not have 2 of them. |

There’s rumored to be metal diff spools and metal driveshafts on Chinese HaoBao website. They’ll trickle to the translatable sites before long.

I ordered one of the RTR's last night on eBay for $8.88 to the porch. I saw them (both colors) for that price and for $10.55, but why pay an extra buck-sixty'ish. Of course it'll be next month when it gets here, but what the hay. I figured for less than $9, I'll tinker with it, since I have a radio set and servos, and ESC 'n' such ...... or let my buddies little guy thrash it, at least. We'll see. |

Has anyone found a nice match on a quality axle for these? I finally got my gaz66 and the frame rails and body honestly aren't bad, nor are the tires, but the motor and stock "servo" need to go. |

Whoever gets theirs first, chime in. By then, there should be some more good improvements getting posted too.

I saw it too and was skeptical at first. Ended up taking one too. Now to see if it actually rocks up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wow, I bought one too. $8.89 shipped for a yellow RTR. I already have a red kit on the way from Gearbest so this one will be for spare parts... assuming it actually shows up. That price is incredibly low.

Good luck with your $9 ebay buys. I bought one of the B1s on one of those auctions, and the seller and their auctions disappeared a couple days later. There's been a huge influx of fraudulent WPL auctions on ebay lately.

Had a little play with my red one in the backyard this weekend chasing my dog. It's definitely a toy The RTR version has a servo that constantly makes motor/gear noise when turning, and the radio is just a switch for full left or full right turns. The gearing or motor seem very weak, it stalls on almost any kind of climb but seems fine in stuff that would be a scale obstacle. Might be better with a 380 can size motor? Looks like something similar to a hitech HS-81 or HS-85 steering servo should be easy to pop in place, so I'll be trying that out soon. The body details look great though, and the headlights are cool. Last edited by Blind; 01-16-2018 at 03:00 PM. |
