I do have some extra WPL axles laying around somewhere. When I sized up the one I could find next to my incomplete Fungi Spectre chassis they look...OK but wide. I’ll do some head scratching and see what I can do now. Thanks for the passive motivation.

Why do you guys want the ECX barrage? Its geared way too high out of the box?

Why not an HBX 2098B devastator or rocksta basher? Or even that clone jeep one that has the low gearing that SPOO76 found?

Wow I just looked. You're right, even Amain wont ship them.

There's always ebay.

I have/had a Devastator. Didn’t like it because the way the tranny sat the rear links contacted the motor limiting travel. Plus the plate chassis hanging out under the body wasn’t as pleasing to me as I though. I used the tranny on my Barrage and have the axles on a 3d chassis I haven’t finished.

I have a RockSta, too. Was in the process of putting those axles on the Devastator chassis but stalled when making links. Was to be a micro comp style MOA.

The one Spoo has is a good one. I don’t have need for another since I keep two running and the rest in some form of build/repair when I get time.

But the gentlemen who asked where to get one sounds like he has no clue about the others. That's why I posted that.

I think if I was going to spend 80-100 for once I would just get the HBX. Or the one Spoo76 found (cant seem to find that one anymore). The ECX and RGT ones are geared way way to high.

Out of all the minis. I would just fork over the money for a RC4WD mini. The other ones you end up spending 100 in upgrades or parts for them real quick. And for all that money, one might as well get the RC4WD mini in my thinking.

My HBX doesnt hit anything against the motor? I do agree its chassis is kinda ugly. The 5 wire servo system is a pain. But out of the the box. It has a lot going on and so far my bone stock one hasnt broke anything yet.

My RGT lasted me 2 days before I gave up on that.

And now that we have a motor upgrade for the RC4WD Im all for that one!

But to each there own and I hope this helps anyone looking for a mini.

For a little while I replaced both servos on the HBX with 3 wire conventional mg90s and used a dehoused regular Rx and micro ESC. The rear servo wired in front so that they worked opposite. So it was full time 4WS.

Thats exactly what I plan to do with my HBX. Ive even have a 4WS radio Id love to try it with. Otherwise I would be full time 4WS too. The space is limited to work with though. It seems very limited.

I revived my rgt with a RC4WD r5 transmission.

Now I actually like the RGT. Much much better torque.

Are these the driveshafts from the WPL C14? I replied to you in the RCG forum too; I wasn't sure which forum you check more often.

Either one. Both pop up on my Tapatalk feed.

These are the shafts. The price fluctuates constantly there. I think I paid $5-6usd. They come with tiny little set screws that don’t particularly fit well so I used some longer cap screws I happened to have.

I ordered a set of these in black and they didn’t work on the Barrage. Where it bolts onto the tranny/axle shafts is longer to the U joint. This created a sharp angle and it would bind up. These worked on another chassis I’m tinkering with that has a longer wheelbase.

All that said, be aware of the subtle differences with the various driveshafts offered for the WPL.

I found the same silver uruav shafts on eBay. The item is shipping from 2hrs away from me so I should get it within a few days for $10 and change.

Thanks!

Got a link? Most of the fleaBay China stuff ships from Cali. I think most of the stuff I’ve gotten was shipped from ‘City of Industry’ or something like that.

That looks like them. Don’t even try anything besides a Dremel or some sort of rotary cutting tool. It’s too small and the tolerances too tight to mess around with.
