Found this. I guess this MZ doesn’t need to be here anymore.

Here's a cross post from another forum with lots of links to the WPL and military craze.

Can you put any decent beadlocks on these or another wheel option?

Not really. The original hubs are 5mm hexes. I would assume the ‘hop up’ axles are the same 5mm hex. There is a free file for 3D printing somewhere for an adaptor to go up to a 7mm hex and then all the conventional 1.0 wheels will fit.

I designed some beadlocks that I 3D printed for my C14. I haven't really put them under any significant stress yet, but they're working ok so far. I might put them up on shapeways if there's interest in them....

Does the Q64 6x6 not have proportional steering? If not how hard will it be to modify?

I'm that guy: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2583466

I unfortunatly lack the consistancy, time, and capacity to print and ship them myself. but they're free to download and make at home, or you can upload that file to any of the many online printing sites and have it made and shipped to you. (although for this part I think prices are elaborate)

I couldn't remember who and where the link was last posted. Excellent.

Uploaded the beadlocks to Shapeways, but the pricing was crazy high ($25+ per wheel!), so I uploaded the files to Thingiverse...

Got the WPL style defender in the mail today. Thought I had ordered the full shell version, but got the pickup top.

Here are some comparison photos.

Things of note:

larger axles
longer frame rails
same distance between the frame rails (transmissions will be swappable)
larger tires with offset bead sizes
same wheel mount hex
new spring design

Is the wheelbase comparable? What’s the axle width hex to hex?

Looks to be the same wheelbase, the axles is 137.7 mm hex to hex vs. 127.5 mm on the WPL

AliExpress, its labeled as a D91k 1/12. The seller I bought it from had some in a US warehouse as well.

I've been waiting for mine for a month, it just hit San Francisco yesterday. I should have gone through Banggood, instead it was some company I can't pronounce. If I like it I'll do another from Banggood. It is larger then the other trucks Longer, wider. I saw a photo of it next to the Toyota on another page.
