Default ECX Barrage 1:24 Body Options?

Do you know what bodies might fit the 1:24 Barrage with or without wheelbase changes. I bought a 1:24 Jeep model hoping the body would work but it is really narrow and the wheelbase is much smaller. I’ve done a little digging and it’s hard to find wheelbase specs on model cars.

if you really want it to look scale it's usually best to focus on the width of the body and adjust the wheelbase of the truck to fit the body. Adjusting the wheelbase is probably the first and most common modification when using a Hardbody to make a scale truck no matter what the scale is. Look around in the stickies in the Losi micro crawler and micro scale area for tips on how to make longer links and lengthen the drive shaft. the end result will be a much better looking vehicle

I tried picking up a 1/24 Walmart brand RC truck and cut the body off of that, but it was way too small IMO. I think the ECX is really closer to like a.. 1/20th scale. Let us know if you have any luck, since I sure haven't! That said, the RGT D90 body should pop up on AsiaTees sooner or later and should be a perfect fit. The RGT body will definitely fit as well, but I think the stock ECX is cooler looking.

Turns out Proline still makes an Ambush body: https://www.prolineracing.com/bodies...h-interior.asp

The D90 body for the RGT is now on AsiaTees as well.

The 1/20 AMT kits are from the same molds as the old Lindberg kits and work very well with the Sumo/HBX and /FTX/RGT width axles.

I have that same 79 I got for the trail trekker but the bed is to long. Like to see what you do to it to get it to fit

If you look back far enough you'll find a thread of mine showing all the 1/20 Lindberg bodies (which are now made by AMT) with Losi Micro, trekker, and sumo axles which are very similar to the 1/24 Barrage. Almost the same gearing and same width. 1/20 scale really is perfect for these micro axles. And FYI you can use the RC4WD bodies too

Would it be advisable to get say a Tamiya kit make it up and then cut holes for body mounts and use that. If so what scale to fit the 1/24 barrage, what kit and is it easy.

AMT has a 92 Hilux in 1/20 scale that fits. But there’s so many Hilux builds I could understand if you wouldnt be interested.

Is it possible to show me a photo because I love hiluxs and i reckon it would look great. But do you have to do any chasis modifications like extending things or does it fit perfect. Thx for suggesting. Also do you know of any other. I like the Hilux suggestion but is there one for a landcruiser body, kinda like the killerbody LC79 1/10. Except of course a 1/24 ecx barrage fit.

Nice is that real rust or fake rust. Also how and where did you get that body. Any modifications to the chasis needed or does it fit normally.
