Newbie here. I just purchased a CR-18 from www.crossrc.us and have done a few paint/body mods to it. I am more of a modeler than an RC runner, so I don't know how much off-road time this truck will see. I painted the rims, snorkel and winch. I added the mirrors, rack and snorkel from the Hobby Plus CR-24 "G-Armour" body (also from crossrc.us), and installed a CB antenna made from a bike derailleur cable. I agree that there are not a lot of options out there for bodies and parts. But, if you're just building a static model, that's no big deal. |

The EazyRC/FMS shocks from the Hard body are a little different than the HobbyPlus, but of course they can work. I haven't even looked to see if they bolt up, but stock for stock 8 think the EazyRC/FMS hard body shocks are a little better than the hobby plus. I've seen these on aliexpress but I didn't order them because I wanted to order a bunch of metal gears instead Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |

Hello, I wanted and RC car for the kid, something that would not get trashed after a week and that had spare parts available, so I bought a HobbyPlus CR-24. The kid in me got excited and also ordered one for me. I've never been into RC, so I'm a total newbie here. I've been into HO Slot Cars for some.years now. Does the motor in the CR-24 handle 2S voltage? Has anybody tried a WPL ESC (I have a couple is WPL trucks and electronics on the way) with this mini truck? The CR-24 is a Christmas present, so haven't taken it out yet |
