CR-24 transmission with a brass 9t pinion & Barrage 64t Spur instead of the stock 12t/54t. It's awesome running on 2s

Got mine today and love the bumper mounted lights. Great little rig. Its like a tiny SCX10 or Vaterra Ascender.

I keep forgetting to point out it has front & rear lights, yet I always notice when I drive. Small inexpensive touch, but welcome

Looks great Spoo.
My cr24 is out of commision. I'd been having a problem with it locking up on hard left turns.everything looked fine. Last night it locked up and bent the end of the axle dogbone about 45 degrees. I straitened it out but its a week point and its not perfectly straight. I ordered 2 axle sets last night and some new knuckles as well as a clear body just for the heck of it. I wish the remote had a rate adjustment for the steering. i'm excited to get my parts and fix er up.
My favorite 1/24 for sure. Maybe I should buy a couple more?

Try to contact Asia Tee's they may offer a credit for the parts you've ordered

I'll give them a polite heads up.
I was amazed that little motor and plastic gears had so much torque to murder an axle but not strip any gears. I like this model so much I'll probably end up with few more and swap out the electronics so I can use my stick radio.

I'm still waiting for mine to come in, but I fully plan to upgrade the esc and receiver at some point

I saw that Asiatees is listing pretty much all the replacement parts now (awesome!!), but I'd be interested in some metal gear options for the servo, pinion, Spur gear, and transmission gears.

Are there any options currently available here (as a third-party mod that fits)?

As far as servos go. I bought a 5 pack of Tower Pro MG90s a few years ago for like $16 delivered. I've only used 2 of them so far with but both worked great and are metal geared.

Awesome! So the cr24 uses a mini size servo? I see a lot that could work in this case

Barrage/Losi, MG90 are considered Micro servos.
The spur and pinion are the same 0.3 mod as Losi AND Barrage. IMO upgrade the pinion to brass and you'll be fine with a plastic spur gear. I posted a picture above that shows the cr24 transmission with a barrage spur gear and 9t pinion.

I cant believe how well this little guy works. I feel like buying another. I kept trying to get my wife to try it but she just looked at me like i was retarded. Some people will just never appreciate the hobby i guess.

Haha, I keep reading lots of people wanting a second one. I'm glad I picked up a second one, luckily I had some store credit anyway.

You guys are killing me! No tracking updates since it left China on the 18th! I'm 99% certain I'll be ordering a second one, but it'll come from Asiatees and I'll likely order a bunch of those extra parts for good measure

Got to take mine out of the box and try it out for 15 minutes or so this evening. This thing works pretty darn well! On 1S the speed is nice and controllable. Torque is decent. Now I’m curious to try it geared down on 2S.

For all of you servo shoppers, mine has a 5 wire servo. Kinda bummed about that. It’s not terrible with the plastic wheels, but the heavy ones like I have on my Trekker might be a different story.

I couldn't resist. Ordered another one from AliExpress - the D1RC "Mini-J" which just appears to be a slightly different-bodied Hobby Plus CR-24.

This one comes with a 600 mAh LiPo, and the bumpers with LED's are included, but not installed. Looks like I will need to trim the body a little to get it to fit if I install the bumpers.

These little micros are a real hit around our house.

SORRY GUYS. I WAS WRONG. It has a 5 wire servo and a 3 wire will only work with a new rx. Just noticed this. I have another c-24 coming tomorrow. I wish I would have added some servos to my order. I think i'll keep one stock and swap electronics in the other so I can use a metal gear servo and rate my throttle down.

Sorry about the wrong info. Old bad eyes here.lol

Cheers
