Default My Barrage Build

Tired of the lexan body, I purchased a 1/24 Ford F-150 as there wasn’t many other options. Just started fitting everything, got the truggy frame attached, just getting front lower and building mounts for the magnets.

Spotted these at my local Hobby Lobby. The last one, the Yoder, is a 1/20. May even tuck the wheels some with that one.

The Toyota is closer in size to regular 1/24th scale. I tried putting one (since I own 1994 Toyota truck in real life) on a 1/18th RC4WD Geolande 2. Wheel base wise it was pretty close, but the body was too narrow for the axles.

Still have the body? If so, measurements?

Any of those bodies would be nice.. I just wonder when the price of a 1/24 scale model went from 15$ to $35+...

You going for the scale look right?? I’m seriously weighing the ideal of a kaz trail truck in scale.

No I don't. After I test fit it and saw cartoonish it looked, I gave it to one of my buddies. Pictures were taken of it, but my phone lost them somehow.

Gotcha. According to my notes the Gelande II axles are about 92mm hex to hex. I have a WLToys 24438 1/24 and it is 99mm wide with the stock wheels on. The Ambush is 76mm (hex to hex?). The 1/24 Barrage is 102mm. Ambush axles would be the way to go for scale looks.

Scale-ish. It won’t be perfect, but I didn’t expect it to.

Small update. Was able to fit interior & mod engine enough to allow hood to shut. Began painting interior and fitting dash. Debating on whether to remove bumper lights & dremel holes in body for headlights & add taillights, or leave stock.

That’s the one. It’s kinda skinny, definitely needs overfenders.
