There have been a few post about these Geko24 setups before. They are also sold by tiny4x4.com , however the older versions seem to be the best. The new versions have issues and they are no longer being stocked by tiny4x4 until there are some design changes. I'm not familiar enough with them to know what the current issues are maybe someone else will chime in

I didn't know much about them or problems with them, but I don't think issues would be bad as 1/18 rc4wd first gen.If I have 150$ I would still buy it.On other side not everyone likes tinkering then yeah spoo76 ty for peps know facts.

The biggest issues had to do with reliability, I think something breaking in the front axle, in which case I'd say RC4WD is better, however Geko24 already has much better performance than RC4WD bone stock and more options for tuning.

Judegaming if you looking for rtr same as another one next to you and incredible costumer service (yes rc4wd is great,ty Kenny for help)is definitely no brainer to get gelande ,but if you're someone who building own "toys" two chassis lengths swb and lwb plus extra adjustment on them is unbeatable.Performance wise from what I seen on review it was way better than rc4wd out of box.I guess is different strokes for different folks 😉

I recently spoke with a few resellers on the autoRC gk24.

V1 was best. Its no longer being made.
V2 has axle issues and something about glue being used was mentioned.

Tiny4x4 stopped selling them until they fixed it.

OZhobby in aus is selling them on ebay. (edit, just noticed you link to them) When asked if he had a version 3 out yet and he confirmed there was manufacturing issue with the V2, but they have since fixed it.

When asked, what they fixed, I did not get an answer about the glue, but he did say a gear was backwards. He suggested I check back with them in a month or so and see if he got any returns or complaints.

I was going to get one before I got my blackjack from RC4WD.

And now that I have the blackjack, Im happy I went that route.

I posted something similar and an owner gave me a rundown that changed my mind and opted for different route. I think they’re more pretty than functional.

Guys great info but i still want one.Rc4wd have "close"geometrics. I understand for taking them out of the box and play they much better choice but for me and probably couple other people is something worth to consider specifically for 150$ plus let's say another 70 $ you can have one in the kind rig.BIGWORM you mentioned spoken with retailers,do you have anyone in US selling them?

No, I spoke to OZhobby on ebay. And I think his name was Mark on tiny4x4.com

Tiny4x4 told me he wont sell them until they fix the axles. This convo was my first about them a few months ago.

I read somewhere recently about something being glued by the manufacture that keep breaking. Cany find where I read that!!

Then I spoke to OZhobby (the seller in the link) last week or so when I noticed they were selling them. I asked him via ebay PM.

Thats when I learned it was a gear that was installed backwards. He did not comment on the glue issue.

But he suggested it was fixed and I wait a month or so to see his return rate on those that he is now selling.

I dont want to try it and get hosed so Im holding out and got the blackjack.

Which has its own set of issues. So nothing is perfect. But Id rather wait some and hear back from him.

Good luck and if you do buy one, please let us know how it goes. Do a build thread please.

I've read the same thing about glued axles breaking, at that price having axles break because they're glued would be enough reason for me to stay away until a better version comes along.
