Default 3D printed course

Hello, new guy here. Seeing all the course builds, indoor and out has me very jealous. It inspired me to get a 3D printer and make my own rocks course. Here are a few pic's.

Thanks to mikemcE, and a quick schooling i finally figured out the picture posting thing. I can't be smart all the time, please don't roast me too bad. Here are a bunch more photos of where I've gotten after 50 or so hours of printing. The truck eats it up.

That looks very promising! With the right weathering that could be a really beautiful course

Replying to an older thread, but do you have STL's posted anywhere? I've been looking to print some crawler course stuff.

I have a suggestion!! I built a an indoor course myself and used pegboard as my base. This allows me to attach dowels beneath every obstacle so that they can be configured in any order and endlessly customisable.

I haven’t looked at the size of this but it could be a good printable feature for a micro crawler course. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5165413/files

That's actually pretty cool; you could make it really modular so you can keep on rebuilding with different lines and feature groups

I love the pegboard idea. That would also make it easier to do in smaller sections for storage, and then just clip them together when it's time to play. mtbAndy - looks like the 'wide' versions of that bridge are about 6", so should work well for small crawlers. I'll be trying to print them this week. That account also posted https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4216320 which looks like it could be a good obstacle if you chop off the top bit.

For now only have hacked up 2 by 4’s painted with “textured” spray paint…next batch come spring will add some sand to the mix and work out some lighter/taller material to work with…for this winter I cheaped out and just built with real rocks in the basement…
