As was mentioned in passing in another thread due to a brain fart of mine. I have a set of “1/16” WPL axles and a couple of “1/24” micro chassis’ laying around. The axles are a 5mm hex but I do have several sets of ‘adaptors’ to 7mm which makes the 1” wheels possible. The WPL tires are about the same as the Scramblers, which are yuuuge.

Chassis that are available: 1-OG Losi Micro, 2-Losi Trail Trekker, 3-‘1/18’ Gelande, and 4-1/24 Spectre. Bodies available are the TTrekker and Barrage.

Under the Spectre they are aesthetically pleasing. But these axles don’t have a servo mount. I don’t think this 3d chassis would handle a CMS well, especially one large enough to throw these tires around. I do believe there are a few axle mounts for servos available on Thingverse though.

Under the ‘1/18’ chassis they kinda work. But once the Barrage body was dropped on they don’t. Not without some major trimming but then the chassis would be exposed. Leaving the rear truggy portion of the body off would be best.

Lots of sorting to do but it’s feasible. Looks cartoonish like a Yoder on Rockwells

Found some Mini T shocks and used the WPL stock links. Needs proper length shocks and proper links.

I’ve got some of the metal axle housings I may try to use with the brass gears. Beefed up it may be a fun basher/bouncer more than a crawler. The YTube videos of these on 3s are impressive at the amount of abuse a beefed WPL drivetrain can take.

Scratch the conventional chassis idea and look at this micro Baumber. The WPL axles would be nearly perfect on this after a good hacking and rebuild.
