Now that I think about it… That would work for NASCAR! But only on tracks you have to turn left… “If you’re not first your last!”

Read the link I provided. Goodyear themselves say despite the tires having markings that say "this side out" it's fine in any direction and some people intentionally run them in different directions depending on terrain Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |

I indeed read what you wanted me to through the link. My observance has nothing to do with the way they say the rotation of the tires should be or the way they should be mounted on the wheel, because it really makes no difference. My point is if you look at the tires and how they’re mounted on the picture that you posted (And really the only way they can ever be mounted because they’re not “directional,” asymmetry creates the problem then?) if you were ascending, both tires would be sliding you in one direction (Let’s say towards the driver side) instead of pulling in towards each other and gripping. Again too many Lagunitas? Or maybe the person who wrote that article had too many? Last edited by CaliCrawler; 09-20-2019 at 10:06 PM. | |

| Re: New Axial scx 24 deadbolt lol Spirited debate and trying to make us all better… (People, husband’s, friends and lovers!) It’s funny, we spend so much time “towing-in” our tires for grip and good year goes & ruins it! I’m sure I can make it work and it’ll still be tons of fun! Have the new scramblers in. Still on the fence about them, I think I need to add more weight (DL) and obviously springs to the shocks to keep them sucked down… Thoughts? Scramblers… https://youtu.be/J0LEXQo9zJQ Goodyears... https://youtu.be/fWPqaPJxx6g |

SamsClub had some last year before Christmas that weren’t Pelican brand but just as good as my Pelican for maybe 1/4 the price of a Pelican. I found a deal on some different branded hard cases on OpticsPlanet(I think that’s it) a few years back. Snagged some smaller ones for a couple of pistols.

| Re: New Axial scx 24 deadbolt Thank you! I decided to go a step further with the scale 1.6 bolts. I forget which website I got them from. Some site for model cars like Bugatti‘s and Lamborghinis. I think I’m going to have to make up some sort of scale rear hub and locking hub for the front.(Just for looks, like the SCX 10 nut covers.) Last edited by CaliCrawler; 09-29-2019 at 08:29 PM. |

harbor freight has cases similar to the pelican. the size of the one that is the same size as my pelican is the 3800. it is a really solid case from HF and you can sometimes get them on sale, or use coupons and get them under $20 for the 3800 sized "apache" https://www.harborfreight.com/3800-w...ack-63927.html I have everything that came with it in there. (usb charger, cable, allen wrench, body pin) there is still more room if I wanted to put more in there, I just don't need to or want to at this point I use a different lipo charger than OE though, and that isn't in the box, from my other RCs So, a guy @ the LHS told me to get RC4wd steel wheels to help the truck stay planted better.... seems like a decent recommendation. looked @ rc4wd and saw aluminum? stamped steel wheels? https://store.rc4wd.com/Stamped-Stee...me_p_7086.html oh yeah, what about getting spare batteries? well, got impatient. ordered some milstone wheel spacers? saw them mentioned somewhere... more expensive than those wheels though..... oh, and what are the extra links and driveshaft for? they don't appear to be the same size as anything on there currently? but maybe I just haven't compared them enough yet. Links and shaft are to extend the wheelbase.

| Re: New Axial scx 24 deadbolt front or rear? so... I also ordered some stuff of Shapeways..... and I told myself I wasn't going to mod this thing... I need to stop.... 1x SCX24 Roll Cage Style A in Black Natural Versatile Plastic 1x SCX24 Improved Steering Linkage Set in Black Natural Versatile Plastic 1x SCX24 Deadbolt Hex key Holder and 4mm nut driver in Blue Processed Versatile Plastic AND.... if I run those spacers, should I also get the rc4wd wheels? I saw some tires they had that were 61mm tall! Like 1cm taller than stock, should I do it? I am worried about too much weight and stressing it. Is this a concern? Or negligible? Decided to go with the hot racing differential covers. Now I’m more around 50° On side hill! Don’t like a lot of different colored metals/plastics, so painted them with the same paint as the wheel wells and decided to do the bumper also. depending on how much weight the new 1/24 scale accessories add (up top), I might also go with the hot racing knuckles. On a sidenote, also found a nice home for the deadbolts stock wheels and tires. Just had to modify the bumper so there was no wheel rub.Painted that with textured paint also. |
