You should try the Carisma MSA-1E oil alloy shocks

So we know the electronics have a auxillary channel 3 with a 3 position switch, and 2 5v ports for LEDS. I was curious about the channel 2 pins and can confirm they work as an ESC bypass/pass through.
Plug in an ESC like you would any receiver and it works.

Here's the 1/20 Nissan compared to the Toyota. The links could easily be lengthened with some tubing.

Also a picture of that 1/20 Willy's Jeep compared to the SCX24

Curious what oil wt for the stock shocks or for the Carisma MSA-1E shocks? Also wondering if you would go significantly heavier ( 75wt) with a die-cast body?

I believe 25 weight is recommend, I went with 20. As far as Diecast IDK. That's more sprung weight than I'd like lol

Not having this in hand I'm not sure I follow you on the bypass. Is there a spot to plug in between the LED and brake?
EDIT: nevermind reading comprehension DOH!

You can keep the Rx portion of the 2in1 and use your own ESC and be able to run the Tx as well as LEDs. Nice touch, Axial.

Oh that is nice!

I was imagining a different scenario with a BEC (which I doubt these servos really need) but running a different ESC is something I was thinking of, I have a BR mini available.

Thanks guys

So since the axles are wide and the width is narrowed with the positive offset wheels I decided to try the wheels and hex on Barrage/RGT, CR-24 axles and it narrowed them to Trekker width. That could be useful for some builds. The wheels are very narrow and don't quit reach the bead of other 1.0 tires, but the tires do fit other 1.0 wheels fine. The scx24 wheels work best in RGT sized tires.

Tonight I swapped to Hot racing aluminum wheels for the Losi Micro crawler, with Mil Stone hex weight wideners for the Losi Micro (not Trekker) and RC4WD Goodyear MTRs and it's unstoppable.

So unfortunately like some others I had one cell of my SCX24's stock dynamite battery go below 2v. (Ended up below 1v!!) In my case I walked away for over an hour with it plugged in. Something I've never done before, but to my surprise the LVC never cut it off.

The factory USB charger wouldn't recognize it, so rather than dig out my hobby charger to try and rescue the battery I tried my ambush charger hoping it was "dumb" enough to balance it. Sure enough it worked great and I now have a balanced pack again! Hopefully that will help someone that also has an Ambush or RC4WD USB charger, but no hobby charger.

I was also about to solder up an adapter to go from the ESCs white JST PH 2.0 to the red JST RCY when I remembered, the RC4WD mini Gelande already has that adapter. now I can easily run my packs with JST RCY connectors.

Located by the cuttters. Just cut the zip tie and unplug from the ESC
