Default Hot Racing SCX24 Emulsion Shocks

I just picked these up and in the short time that I have been using them, they have become what I would consider one of the best upgrades you can buy for the SCX24. In my opinion a Furitek ESC is the #1 upgrade and an aftermarket servo, HR Servo Mount & Linkage is number 2, RC4WD Wagon Wheels and Tires number 4.

My JLU had really bad sag in the rear and the sag in right rear, due to the motor was just not acceptable to me. The other problem I have with the stock shocks/springs is they do not rebound.

The Emulsion Shocks solved both of these problems, my JLU is nice and level now, when I press down on it rebounds, and another bonus is no more bouncy bouncy. I am currently using the silver springs with 27.5 AE oil, which I think may be too stiff for my current setup, but I haven't received my Furitek Komodo yet, so I'll have to wait and see. I'm thinking 22.5 and black springs may be perfection.

I am using these shocks with Hot Racing's adjustable shock towers and I feel that these are a necessity unless you want to significantly raise the ride height of your SCX24. Fully extended the shocks are the same length as stock, but unlike the stock shocks there is no sag/droop.

No problem.

You can pick up a set on fleabay, there are a few sets currently available, that's where I bought mine.

For whatever reason not all of HR's parts are available through retailers. High clearance links for the JLU are another one of their parts that are only available through fleabay.

I always check a manufactures website to see what's available. I have found that they often have things listed that retailers don't carry. The only exception to this is Apple, they have a secret menu of products that can only be found if you know exactly what you are looking for and I know this, because I found something BB told me hasn't been made in years readily available and made by Apple on Amazon. From what I can tell, Amazon seems to be the place that carries the secret Apple product. FYI what I bought is not sold at Apple stores either, I checked and asked.

Just picked up a set, nice upgrade from my stockers that were so wallowed out they were binding. Running full droop in the front (I ran no springs on the stocks all around) and the black springs with the adjuster all the way loose in the rear so they've got just enough spring to have about 1/8-3/16" up travel sitting on the bench. Running 30wt in them currently, don't think I'd go any lighter with my setup. I initially had maybe 10-15wt in them and the only damping was the friction from the o-ring on the shock shaft. I have some 50wt on the way to try, the others were what I had already in shocks near the work bench to steal fluid from. I recommend a syringe with a blunt needle for mess free filling, these things are too small to be trying to pour oil into them.
