Chopped down alot off the roll cage. I did this mainly for weight savings. I want to mount the FPV in a third person view so I needed to shed off some grams. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |

Wow. IMO looks absolutely awesome with the silver links / axles. Did you do any prep work / sanding or did you just go ahead and paint them? Have you had any trouble with the paint getting scraped off? Some really excellent small details that are making your truck really pop |

I'm using enamel paint for the chrome and black. The red is acrylic. I'll post a Pic of the paints used. Zero prep, no sanding. Just globbing on alot. There are some parts that will get scratched off, but only on the bottom of the links. I think I only did two coats with the links. The axles have atleast 4 coats on them. When the red gets scrapped there is silver under it which is exposed before the black plastic. I'm going to paint the front links too! Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Does anyone here have both the CR24 and the SCX24? I want to know if its worth getting the SCX. I like my CR24 a lot.

| Re: Axial scx24 thread I have both. While I thought my CR24 was amazing, when I took it outside with my SCX24 to do my backyard course, it literally couldn't even get up the first gate and struggled the rest of the way (not able to get through most gates), while the SCX24 did an absolutely stellar job.

| Re: Axial scx24 thread Haha. Well Ive owned a losi trekker that had the works. Hand wound motor, custom links, and danally made rims. It was great. But the scx24 is better I think. Its bigger so more room to put stuff in it. And it's size makes it more capable out of the box. I'm sure you could make any micro really good. I just like how axial did it! Just got my mil stone wheel weights and spacers. Finally the suspension works the way I want it too. Had to cut the front quite a bit but the rear seems fine so far. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk Last edited by mathcanbefun; 06-18-2019 at 03:17 AM. |

More cosmetic changes. These pictures have the long travel mod that was just posted by another user. Photos also include the newly installed brake and reverse lights. I took the brake card out of the ESC so the truck doesn't go from forward to reverse instantly, and instead has a brake. The ESC contains all the ports to simply get them to come on when braking or reversing. No splicing to other lines. No programming. Just plug and go. Really digging this little ESC that axial threw on this thing. It's very versatile. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |

Quick update on how I did the brake and reverse lights. The esc has two led inputs. The inputs consist of three vertical pins. For both Leds only two wires are needed. The wires go to the TOP TWO pins only. Positive is the top pin I believe. The reversing lights are the led input closest to the "brake" input (where the brake card goes). And the led input to the left of reversing lights are the brake Leds (colored in red on my esc). The reversing lights are the lights that come in the bumper of the scx24, I just lengthened them. The brake Leds are just some red Leds I have forever. Wired them in series (you can trace through both Leds, negative of one to postive of other). That's all there is too it. If you want one of the Leds to be on all the time you just use the aux port inputs Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk Last edited by mathcanbefun; 06-18-2019 at 03:11 AM. |

Hey cool info Math. I assumed the LED ports were on full time. Is the head light always on? And reverse only works in reverse? I could have sworn might were both always on. I’ll check mine again. Ps: why did you wire in series? What voltage leds did you use? Sent from your iPhone.

I'm using the headlights as the reverse lights now. I think you can switch to 2nd and 3rd pin to have them always on. But I can't remember how the lights came stock. Originally the headlights are always on correct. Just takes some port switching. I honestly have no reason for series, it was just easier to wire up and it worked.
