Default Axial scx24 mathcanbefun build

Greetings micronauts!
It has been a very long time. I couldn't help but grab one of these now that I have a 3d printer and am a little better at hacking stuff up (a very tiny bit better).

Anyway I have a list of things done to it (mostly cosmetic) and some sweet sweet pictures but as usual they are a pain to post so hold tight.

I use Tapatalk from my iPhone. That’s where’s all the pics are anyways. Pay a yearly fee and you can post through that. Remember to downsize them prior to posting to the site so they’re not massive.

OK not sure how many pictures i can post at once so here a few at a time.

So far I've added some 3d printed parts including: center console, grill, side view mirrors, and a trailer hitch. I also painted the reservoirs silver and the center console/GPS sticker. I added an FPV camera which I was too lazy to take out for the glamor shots. And I found some tiny red leds to use as brake lights. By switching from the auxiliary port to the lights port I can make it come on only when brakes are applied, or have them on all the time. Really convenient and well though out by axial.
The leds that come with the kit in the bumper are way toonbright for me. I was think of adding a dab of hot glue or super glue to diffuse the light, but more research is required.
I also want to cut down some of the roof rack to make room for a higher FPV mount so I'll probably do something like HumboldtEF did in his post. Additionally I want to paint the axle pumpkins red but I'm not sure I have a suitable red shade. Maybe paint some links silver too. Love the way to body bounces when crawling but it definitely needs more nose weight and some weight on the wheels too.

Now more pictures!

Not sure a yearly membership is needed. I post pics through tapatalk as a free member?

I also did not need a membership.

Heres some more pictures. I realized I installed the shocks backwards the first time. I gave the reservoirs another coat and installed them correctly.
I also added some weight under the receiver shelf.
And finally a close up of the center console.

Lmao. Those petrol heads will come around, especially the truck guys when the day comes when they can get a pickup with 1000lbs of torque on demand.

Charger file can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1436193

Nice work!

I dig the grill, I thought about making one just to fix the crooked grill sticker on mine. I wasn't thinking of saving the headlight portion of the sticker like you did, which is a great idea.

I also think the lights are too bright and yanked them out. If you want them dimmer you could play around with adding some resisters to them. The brake lights you added look about right though

Thanks boss!
It was kind of a pain leaving it intact. The bottom was so flimsy that I had to use a dremel for most of it. The top part and sides I did most of the cutting with a pair of curved lexan scissors and an exacto. I just did it incase I put leds in the headlights.
I like the way the brake lights turned out but I probably could have made the holes a little bigger. I didn't want a ton of light getting through. I also painted the part of the led and hotglue inside the body black so it wouldn't shine through the body.
