Wait. So you had a CR24 motor too? Is that bigger or smaller than the Losi?

What pinion was on it?

And what is the CR upgrade kit you speak of? Say WHA?

Exactly the same size between the CR24 and scs24 motors, but the losi is a few mm smaller on one side. It has different plugs so I won't even take it out of the package.

Removed the pinion from the dead motor and put it right on the CR24. Then I swapped the leads so forward on the radio is actually forward. It runs! I just have to keep an eye out on the axle binding until a replacement comes in. These cr24 motors are like $2 each... I may stock up just because they make for a great temporary solution (assuming they don't burn up quickly!)

Search Asiatees for "*CR24 Parts & Upgrades*
Upgrade Performance EP Combo Set (ESC+Servo+Receiver+Motor)". I'd like to get it for the esc and motor, although the servo may fit and the receiver can be used with my CR24 radio for something else. The servo looks different between the scx24 and cr24, so I dont know if they are a direct swap.

It says for 2 cell lipo you need a 280 motor? Im not sure thats accurate as I have ran micro motors of a dynamite 60amp 1/10th esc before. NOT ALL of my 1/10 worked. But that one did.

For the money I would almost suggest just getting a mamba micro and use your GT3. The motor is no different than the one it comes with. The receiver is only for the CR24. And the servo who knows if it will fit the SCX24 servo tray which REALLY puts a hamper on your choices. But for 29 bucks its not bad considering a normal ESC is about the same for a decent one.

Id double down on the mamba though if you want the best absolute slow speed your money can buy. You wont regret it at all and you can use that sucker in a lot of things down the road.

From the spec sheet of that CR24 ESC upgrade:

1s LiPo (only support LiPo if 1 cell is used): 030, 050, 280 motor RPM below 30000 RPM @7.2v
2s LiPo or 6cell NiMH: 280, 370, 380 motor RPM below 30000 RPM @702v

Got off the phone with Horizon - Front axle assembly won't be in until August :(

And I have a dead charger too (flashing red light).

Glad this at least happened during the summer.

Ah man, thats unfortunate. And my charger broke too. It seems many of ours have. Bummer they wont trade you for a new RTR. Perhaps ask them to swap your the whole kit?

They are out of stock on the trucks too - apparently until August.

Not sure if I'll just bite the bullet and buy a third truck just for the parts. At least I have a new set of tires, ESC, motor, etc...

How about buying just the axle and having them give you a credit for the cost of it on something else from them? I think two enough. You still need a RC4WD mini too.. lol.

Amain has one in stock.

Keep in mind that I'm in Canada, so ordering parts from the states is often not worth it.

The mini gelande will come, I'm sure

My buddy at work's SCX24 froze on him. Seems to be locked up in the rear axle or transmission. He just bought it yesterday and got two runs before it froze. The front CVD are not bound so its either the transmission or rear axle. Im thinkiing its the rear axle. He plans to return it for a new one rather and open it up and look. Bummer for him.
